Description

This contemporary apartment set within a modern security building with lift access is divided into two parts, a private guest room and a design studio. The apartment entry and bathroom is shared whilst the two spaces have private balcony spaces each.

The private guest room features:

- quality double ensemble bed with pillow top mattress

- ottoman that can fold out for an additional guest

- laptop friendly work space with free wifi access

- two bean bag chairs and dining table/chairs on balcony

- tea and coffee making facilities

- microwave oven and small fridge

- clean bedding, bath and beach towels provided for each guest

The room is equipped with a double and a quality fold out bed, small fridge, microwave oven, three breakfast bowl sets and basic tea and coffee making. I change the towels twice weekly and the room and bed linen is serviced weekly.

There is no formal kitchen and you will be sharing the the common entry and bathroom with my wife's design business (my wife is the only worker) that operates in the adjacent room between 9 to 5 weekdays.

The bedroom and the balcony area are enclosed from the office and do offer reasonable separation though during business hours we ask that you refrain from any disruptive behaviour and at all times keep the bathroom and shared areas tidy . Otherwise outside of business hours you will have the place to yourself.

Rules

The apartment is well presented and clean. A lot of effort is made to ensure our guests enjoy their stay with us and we trust you will reciprocate by treating our personal belongings with the up most care.

Check in 3pm / Check out 11am (late check out can be arranged pending availability - cost may apply pending time).

No smoking in the apartment or on the balcony, no pets, no parties, no excessive noise, no additional guests/visitors.

Security deposit refunded on inspection of room at check out and on return of building security fob/key.

Failure to return the security key and/or fob will result in an additional charge to cover replacement costs (please note that this may exceed the $200 security deposit).

Getting around

The word 'Maroubra' comes from an Aboriginal word meaning 'like thunder' - an apt description of the sound of the waves pounding on the shoreline. These waves have made Maroubra one of the most popular surfing locations in Sydney and Australia's second only National Surfing Reserve. The beach is serviced by two surf life saving clubs, and is patrolled all year by Randwick City lifeguards. Volunteer lifesavers patrol the beach on weekends and school holidays during daylight saving months. Maroubra Beach is popular with visitors given its easy access and large kilometre-long expanse of sand. Maroubra Beach is surrounded by open space.
