Surf, Sand and Sunsets-Sea's the Moment--Tesla/EV charging at the house

“Comfy getaway” Fantastic views of the sound and 2 minute walk to beach. The home is very comfortable with plenty of room for a large family. I loved the location because it is quieter than surf city but just a short drive away. Will rent again and hopefully the weather will be warmer.

“One of the best vacations we've ever had!” As with another review on here, I am reluctant to write my review as I don’t want to give this place away. What a wonderful, wonderful place Rivah Getaway is! The house is spacious, comfy, extremely clean and well equipped. Awesome master suite! The grounds are magnificent and so well kept. The owners, Dale and Chio (and their little sweet daughter) are wonderful people that we enjoyed getting to know so much. They go out of their way to make your stay the best it can be. And they love to hear suggestions that would make your stay better, as if it could get better. But I really appreciate that about them. Here are just a few things that set this place aside from your ordinary rental: ~ Personable and flexible owners ~ Owners that get back with you in record time ~ Best neighbors you could ever ask for ~ Little things kept in the house (condiments, salad dressings, spices, charcoal, etc.) ~ Unlimited hot water ~ Awesome fire pit with the best burning wood ~ Two resident owls that like to get up close and personal. This was super cool to see. ~ Extremely private. We never heard a car the entire time we were there. And finally, be sure to talk to the next door neighbors Marcus and Ashley about the getaway they offer in their pontoon boat to a secret location on the river that will leave you breathless. And on the other side, Cathi, for homemade jewelry. Thank you Dale and Chio for a wonderful and memorable vacation. We can’t wait to come back and we will be back.

Lake Lure house

“A time to remember” Our stay at this house in Lake Lure was more then we could have expected. Everything was perfect and we all had a wonderful time. The facilities & amenities were more then we had expected. We had our own private spot on the river and the balcony had the most amazing views. Lake Lure and Chimney Rock were both very close. Can't wait to return for another memorable experience there.

“In a Word-fabulous!” We spent a wonderful weekend at this mountain lodge in late March. While not inexpensive, the facilities were to-quality and the working fireplace on the back deck--with its beautiful view of the mountains and early morning fog--were spectacular. The hiking was also great fun and easy to access. We will be back. It is essentially in the head of no place, which makes it all the better to feel like you've had a real get-away.

Granpy Aut at On the Windfall Farm - 215 acre retreat

Lansing log cabin

“Loved it so much we are planning a wedding at On the WindFall!” We stayed for two nights and enjoyed our time there: the kitchen was well supplied and we used herbs from the on-site garden; the decor cozy; the walk from the cabin to the pond beautiful (and my husband caught us delicious trout for dinner- they stock the pond for guest's enjoyment). In fact, we loved it so much we are now planning my sister-in-law's wedding to take place at On the Windfall next year. I would highly recommend staying at On the Windfall if you are in Western NC.

Hot Tubs for Fall on River Bat Cave NC Massage Chair & Fire Places

Bat Cave cottage

“More than we expected, we will be back!” This is the perfect place to get away! We came in at night and I was nervous because I know how picky my boyfriend is about staying away from home. It was very clean the pictures don't do it justice. The hot tub was great. The inside was spacious. Chimney Rock was just down the road. We did a day of shopping and climbed all the way to the top of Chimney Rock and all the trails and came back and spent some much needed time in the hot tub and massage chair. The owners were right upstairs and we talked with them they were so nice however we couldn't tell there was anyone upstairs unless we went to them. I can't wait to go back!!! I need the sound of the river to put me to sleep again!

Lakefront Mountain Cabin Near Atlanta Getaway!

Murphy log cabin

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 4

“We will be back!” We so enjoyed our stay at this lakefront cabin for the last two weeks of May, and were grateful we were able to bring our fur-kid, Daisy. She enjoyed swimming, fetching, and dock diving in the lake almost as much as we enjoyed watching her! So quiet and peaceful here, with a beautiful view of the lake from the front wall of windows. Comfy furniture, well-equipped kitchen, nice large deck, easy access to town - it was all we wanted and needed for our vacation. The weather was perfect for most of our stay, which we spent out on the deck or down by the water with friends we were visiting (they live in Murphy), and we were amazed so few people were out enjoying it on a long holiday weekend - we had the lake to ourselves much of the time! Phyllis and Pete were great hosts, and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. We will definitely stay here again during our next trip to Murphy.

“We really get away” So many times everyone tries to "get away from the rat race" on vacation, this is where to go! Quite, secluded, cell signal weak enough to claim you had none. Beautiful views, enjoying the outdoors, and perhaps for days, never even letting your feet touch the pavement in civilization. For those that want to sightsee, still close enough, but be careful to spend your entire days out and about, and miss out on the many gems that are around your cabin.

“nice riverfront location, great for gem hunting & kayaking” We really enjoyed our stay at Riversong! The house is very clean & well maintained with everything you need for a great mountain vacation. The view of the river from the porch is beautiful. We brought our kayaks and found landings upriver so we could paddle back to the house and loved every minute of it. The owners have gem hunting supplies at the house and we had fun panning in the river, even brough home some garnets we found! We highly recommend this rental, it was even better than advertised!

“So many awesome things to do and relaxation time all rolled up i” Such a wonderful cabin away from it all, yet things close enough for adventure. Cabin was clean, with great space. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils to be able to cook meals. Hot tub was perfect for chilly nights. Shirley was a great host, always keeping communication open before and during our stay. She was getting ready to leave the cabin right as we were arriving, yet she took the time to meet us, give us a tour of the cabin, give us details of dining and things to do in the area, and answer any questions we had. For us Floridians it was an adventure just driving on the winding roads and one night in snow for the first time! Exploring around the cabin was great. So peaceful and wonderful nature on the trail and the creek was great. We did zip lining at Canopy Ridge Farms which the speed and views were breathtaking. New Years Eve was spent roasting hot dogs and marshmallows by the outdoor fire pit. My son, 16, and I went rock climbing for over four hours on Rumbling Bald, doing four different routes with Fox Mountain guided tours, while my husband and daughter, 11, did a guided hike through part of Rumbling Bald. Went to the Biltmore Estates Candlelight tour. Was really beautiful and would recommend getting the audio guide if doing a self-guided tour. The North Carolina arboretum had an awesome Lego display with life size creations of animals, people and flowers. There was also fresh snow in the parking lot so my daughter was able to make her first little snowman! My son did one of the biking trails their and really enjoyed it. He also enjoyed riding his bike down the driveway of the cabin! Also enjoyed doing some shopping in Chimney Rock. Dining was great at Phil's BBQ in Black Mountain, La Strada, fancy Itailian in Lake Lure, and Ole's Guacamole in Black Mountain. All the adventure and food were within 20-50 minutes of the cabin which was perfect. Wishing we could of stayed for another week to relax more and do so many of the other adventures provided!!!

Hot tubs for Fall on the River in Bat Cave NC & Massage Chairs, Fire Place

Bat Cave cottage

3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 8

“Nice and Cozy” We had a great time during Spring Break 2014. We wanted to do something a little different with grandkids this year, and this Cottage was perfect. (We normally go to Gatlinburg) Cottage sits right on the river with the deck actually out over the river. Hot tub was well taken care of and located where we had a nice view of the river. We didn't realize we had scheduled opening day of trout fishing season, but we took advantage, and my son caught several nice fish right on the property. I enjoyed the fact that the cottage is a part of history, (Former Bat Cave Post Office), yet everything was updated with new fixtures and electronics. The beds slept great, and the grand kids loved the game room. Chimney Rock State Park and little downtown area are just a few minutes from the cottage on the same road. We were a little concerned about available dining close by, but were pleasantly surprised with the variety of options. Also used the available stainless Weber grill on the deck. I am certain we will return later in the summer. The owners were very nice, and made us feel like we were appreciated. Overall a very nice and relaxing vacation. (The massage chair was a bonus when I could get the kids out of it)

“Awe Inspired!” The cabin was wonderful. The Bison feeding was so much fun ,one of the Alpha males had such an assured look in his eyes it was almost regal. The bison burgers were to die first! While in the hotbed which is really nice BTW, we looked up and the sky looked like God himself filled the entire sky thick with glitter that's how many stars there were. When my dog went out here came the grey mini pony and my dog licked it's nose, I think they wanted to elope....LOL The Mtn Goats & Liamas were fun as well. We couldn't remember the last time we were so relaxed. We love Bison Overlook Lodge & we will be back!

Sunnybank,Oceanfront on 3 acres, 6 bedroom estate Elevator, Open Oct 2nd week.

Corolla house

5 bedrooms / 8 bathrooms / sleeps 14

“A Classy Vacation Experience in any Season” My brother, who has problems walking, and I stayed at Sunnybank for a little under a week in the early spring when the Corolla horses are foaling. The layout of the well-appointed, three-storey main building was perfect for our needs: the fabulous view from the top floor living room provided the inspiration for him to walk up the grand stair case, and he could take the elevator when he was having problems walking. (There are two bedrooms with walk-in showers to accommodate people who have a problem walking.) It rained the first two days, which might have been gloomy any where else, but the library of videos, and stashes of games and playing cards gave us the opportunity to connect in ways that we hadn't since we were children. The fabulous cook's kitchen and multiple eating areas can accommodate a wedding party, family reunion, or any get away time one might want. Mine was a working vacation and the office there, which is outfitted with excellent Ethernet and WiFi connections plus a daybed for napping, was a better arrangement than my office at home. Comfort and casual, yet classy ambience abounds at Sunnybank. An excellent find!

Boone Secluded Creek Cabin/Hot Tub/Fire Pit/Picnic/Fireplace/Fishing/Hiking/WiFi

Boone log cabin

3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 5

“The most relaxing of Vacations - In stunning surroundings” My fiancé and I have stayed at Fallcreek cabins on many occasions. The cabins are conveniently situated between Boone and Wilkesboro. Within 5 minutes of leaving the highway you find yourself at the cabins, nestled serenely amongst the trees above the creek. The peace and quiet is what hits you first, closely followed by the fresh air. I have stayed at several of the cabins at Fallcreek over the years and all of them are uniquely decorated with some lovely home touches. They are spotlessly clean and comfortable, providing you with all the conveniences you could want for the week. Although there is TV, DVD player etc. we prefer to sit outside, relax in the hot tub or maybe build a fire in the fire pit. The welcome addition of wifi however means you can still keep in touch with friends and family. The seclusion of the Creekside overlook cabin is excellent and you will enjoy complete privacy. Fortunately you don't need a SUV or Truck to get to the cabins (In spring or summer) as the tracks are well maintained and not too steep. A great relaxing getaway, providing a lovely way to unwind and reconnect with nature and those you love.

“Another great stay” We had another great stay in Deer Run (part of Fall Creek Cabins) this year. The cabins are clean and comfortable, and stocked with sheets, towels, paper products, kitchen utensils -- everything you might need and lots more. The wooded setting is quiet and beautiful, and having trails and waterfalls right on site is great for days when you don't feel like getting in the car. But if you do feel like driving, Boone, Blowing Rock, the Blue Ridge Parkway and more are close by. We love exploring during the day, and then soaking in the hot tub or relaxing in rocking chairs on the covered porch at night. We've stayed here annually for more than seven years now, and we definitely plan to be back!

Asheville house

“Great quiet get away with river view!” This house fit our family of four perfectly. It was well maintained, charming, and a lovey location. You can hear/see the river from the deck and it shares a garden space with the other property which has river access, a pond, and fire pit. The street is super quiet and only about 15 mins away from downtown. Loved the fireplace! Rebecca who manages the property was so kind and helpful...even giving us kid specific suggestions of what to do in Asheville. Would stay there again, and/or try the next door property which looked amazing as well. Thank you!

“Amazing get away!!!” My wife and I stayed at Fall Creek Cabins (FCC) - Serenity Ridge this past weekend. It was a much needed 'getaway' in a magnificent location. The cabin offers a secluded and relaxing atmosphere while having all the creature comforts of home. The crackling fire adds to this rustic setting. When your at the cabin you feel like your in 'another world', but you can easily be at the nearest store for needed supplies in a matter of 10-15 minutes. The location is also very convenient for day trips to Boone, Blowing Rock and other interesting places. The staff at was fantastic at assisting with setting up our trip and helping insure we had all the pertinent information.

“Incredible!” My wife and I celebrated 24 years of marriage at the Blueberry Hideaway on March 8 of this year. Everything needed, such as firewood, the preparation of the hot tub, kitchen provisions, were provided for us. The cabin was clean, cozy and comfortable. It is memory that will never be forgotten. We will return one day with our children to enjoy one of these cabins as a family although we didn't have the honor to meet Tim and Beverly personally, we saw their excellence in the awesome cabins that they have provided for couples as such as us.
