“spacious, clean and beautiful”

House is close to the beach, restaurants and tourist attractions. Loved that we could buy fresh bakery goods right from the kitchen window! (vendors came by with fresh fish, bakery goods, etc.).

“Great for a two week family holiday”

Situated by the coast in Northern Galicia 40 minute drive west of Santiago de Compostela airport, La Maison is a 15 minute walk from a delightful safe sandy beech with restaurants and bars and a good base to explore the quiet beaches of the area. It is good sized property, we hired the main house, which had five bedrooms ,there are also three apartments in the attached in the barn. Ally the owner who lives locally, in Noia was welcoming and very helpful is we needed anything. Came to the rescue when we were trying to chase up the airline for a lost case. The local town Freixo is a 20 minute walk along the coast were there are a number of restaurants and within 10 to 20 minutes drive are the towns of Noia and Muros, the nearest large supermarket is in Noia and Muros has nearby good beaches and lots of restaurants. Plenty to do in the area but a car essential. Ranging from sight seeing in Santiago, walking in the hills or by local rivers to strolling on empty golden beaches. Galicia is a beautiful part of Spain, quiet not overrun with tourists and reasonably priced.

“A quiet, comfortable, tranquil holiday in a magnificent rural setting”

This is our second visit to this property. We love the area, the wonderful shellfish and the friendly people. Our accommodation was very comfortable and well equipped and we enjoyed sitting in the sun reading in the garden and gazing at the beautiful view of the Ria below us. We went for many walks and visited the market in Padron. Our hosts made us very welcome and we joined them in a delicious barbeque. The local meat is wonderful. This is not a tourist area but a natural area where local people follow their traditions, husbands raking the shellfish from their small boats whilst their wives rake the beaches. An amazing sight. The shellfish season is from October to March.
