Casa Verano is a full air-conditioned, quality villa designed for "chilling out" - couples or families.

The luxury curved pool and waterfall are child friendly with easy access. About 12 minutes stroll to the centre of Playa Blanca, its shops, eating places and beaches. Few guests ever bother hiring a car - unless they want to tour around. We are proud of the standard of our family holiday villa - used for short-term breaks by family and friends - and for longer guest residential lettings.

Casa Verano's guests are highly enthusiastic about the first-rate facilities such as full air-conditioning, all 12 British TV channels plus SKY sport, and movies and kids channels and internet/WIFI at the villa. Playstation 2 with own monitor. Over 100 books. Then there is the luxury, warm, heated pool, waterfall and two sun terraces at this lovely villa.

One double bedroom sleep 2 comfortably. The other bedroom has two singles with an ensuite bathroom. There is a second bathroom. There is an adult size cot-type fold bed if required. The kitchen has ceramic hobs, washing machine, microwave, toaster and kettle. The living and dining areas are furnished to a very high standard for your holiday comfort.

There is a lockable safe supplied. A local professional holiday maintenance company organises towel and bedding changes plus pool cleaning and garden tidying.

A south facing terrace brings you all day sun. There are nice views to the sea at the front and the spectacularly beautiful Fémes mountains to the side. The terrace leads directly to a tiled sunbathing area beside the totally private swimming pool. “Outside area let down”

First impressions count and the first thing I faced outside of the front door was a chair that to be kind had seen much better days. We placed it out of sight during the holiday. The key fob for the main gate battery stopped working and the pool outside lights did not work. The inside of the Villa was clean and comfortable enough. I got in touch with the owner and I think he was as frustrated as me with what we found on arrival. In fairness to him he sorted the key fob out quickly but the other issues would take longer than a week for him to sort. The owner’s property management company need to apologise to the owner for causing him such embarrassment. We will not be returning to this Villa, the small problems unfortunately had a large negative impact on our holiday. I could continue to carry on with other issues but the Owner knows the issues and I am sure he will sort them out for the next clients.

“Good villa”

We enjoyed our stay at the villa, there are just a few things that could have made it better. The air conditioning wasn’t working properly, two of the units were just like a fan and we had very sticky nights sleep, we also weren’t aware of it being a coin meter until after we had paid for the villa. The outdoor furniture is a little tired and a sun lounger broken, we found there wasn’t enough shade around the pool area for 5 of us and also the pool wasn’t cleaned during our stay and leaves were accumulating on the bottom of the pool, and it was stated that our towels would be changed but this didn’t happen. If it wasn’t for those points then we would have given 5 stars.

“Gem of a place”

Wow!!!! What can I say after reading the previous review this villa is amazing. The hosts Alan and Hazel were so welcoming and on hand if you needed them. One of the nicest couples we have met!!! The welcome pack and bottle of wine was much appreciated. The villa is very spacious well equipped and the fresh water tap was a great added bonus no carrying bottles of water. The heated pool was another great attribute to this villa heated to 28 heard others complain about how cold the hotel pools were!!! Ours was warm all day and the waterfall was very delightful to listen too. Situated about a 10-15 minute walk from main hub of Playa Blanca which can be accessed over a small piece of dirt track but you can use the main gate adds an extra coupe of minutes to your walk. Taxis only 3-4 euros from centre. If you want a nice quiet villa with easy access to Playa Blanca this is for you loved it so much we’ve booked to go back for longer next year.

Response from the owner We don’t respond much - because it is very, very rare we have to. We are proud of being awarded a Certificate of Excellence by Trip Advisor for all the great comments and praise by guests. We have carefully looked at these particular comments and made a thorough inspection as we live next door.The male guest did complain that the pool looked a bit murky, with leaves from the tree behind the waterfall fallen into it. Within 15 mins of telling me, the Director of our maintenance company had arrived and 15 minutes later a pool cleaner arrived and re-cleaned the pool again. It was sparklingly clean. Regarding position, it is 11 mins walk to the town centre. Of course there are dustbins on the path outside the complex - as there are in every complex in Lanzarote - but nowhere near the villa. Where did the guest expect them to be? They are also emptied every single day. Regarding it being dark when they returned, the outside complex is ringed with lights with single floodlights at the gate and all over the complex. The complaint about the kitchen door being scarred was factual - children had scrapped it and it was on order from IKEA. Sorry to say that the male guest seemed constantly irritated about the weather not being great, rudely refused our offer to take them supermarket shopping or discuss things to do on the island. He seemed in generally bad form… We live next door. At no time did he tell us that the cleaning was not up to standard. Nor did he tell us about the inside painting. The washing machine was working perfectly. The villa had in fact been repainted inside and out during the end stage of Covid so frankly, those comments are untrue. We fail to see his motive in telling lies about the outside furniture. We believe he broke a sunbed and then complained to us. The same day we spent 200 euros and replaced it. Reading the exaggerations, we wish we had knocked it off his deposit! He suffered from mosquito bites, complained the bedroom was very hot and airless. He couldn’t work the aircon but never asked us for help despite the fact of us being next door. He did praise the fresh water tap and that the main shower had good pressure so we are grateful for that. Once or twice every decade there is a “moaner guest”. He wouldn’t have been happy at the Presidential suite at the Ritz-Carlton.

“Good villa at good price”

We are a family of 4 with 2 daughters 11 and 14. Villa size is excellent with plenty of space inside and out. Inside was lovely and clean and cleaned once during our 2 week stay with clean bedding and towels (including beach towel). Out side was nice and good to have own pool. It did take a bit of keeping on top of due to the wind as it filled with leaves quickly. One of the reasons we chose this villa was that we didn’t need a car. The short cut to the town takes about 15/20 minutes to walk right into the centre where there are plenty of bars, shops and restaurants, as well as 2 beaches. We wouldn’t walk the short cut in the dark so did taxi back every night. Due to Covid taxis would only take 3 so we needed 2 taxis for a family of 4. A taxi back was around 4 euros. In summary, a good villa for a couple or family, lovely quiet area and close enough to walk into town.
