Description

The large lake villa Aspenäs is located very private without neighbours by the lake Aspen in Julita, 16 km north of Katrineholm and 150 km to Stockholm. The spacious villa provide plenty of room for staying, living and for water activities. Two saunas (an electric in the basement and a wooden fire by the beach), private beach with sun deck and large indoor and outdoor areas and a small rowing boat.

The main floor is about 200 square meters, with a large elevated patio with outdoor dinner group and comfortable sofas overlooking the lake on the private backside. There are two small steps to enter the main floor, hence access possible for elder or disabled with a little help.

In the main floor You have:

+ kitchen with all equipment

+ 5 bed rooms including master bed room with large double bed

+ large living room with 65" flat screen, ChromeCast Ultra and PlayStation 3

+ dining room with at least 10 seats

+ bath room, shower room and toilet

For larger events the glass room with a full size pin ball (flipper) game and tread mill can also be used for 12 seated guest.

The basement contain the electric sauna, shower, a rest room and storage areas, while the upper floor has a guest room with double bed, toilet with shower and an additional small kitchen.

In total there are 4 showers, 1 bathtub and 5 toilets in the house.

The open garage has room for 2 cars and the garden has grass areas for activities and a large trampoline. You can also have some friends stay over in tent, motorhome or caravan parked in the garden by the lake.

The house has WiFi connected to 100 mbit Internet and a connected kitchen computer for surf/media.

If You bring a dog, there is a small pasture with a dog house for daytime stay.

The villa is perfect both for the large family to stay in, to have friends visiting and with the nice lake perfect for swimming and fishing. There are also many activities in the surrounding areas, large mansions to see including Julita Gård museum and the golf course Jättorp.

There is a well sorted ICA food store 6km away by car or bike and the city of Katrineholm 16 km away has many stores, including Systembolag (beer, wine and liquor store).

You can walk, bike and drive almost everywhere depending on Your preferences. Having access to a car most days is recommended.

Interaction with guest

During Your stay You have the house with the garden, beach and jetty just for You. The green house may be attended by the gardener a short time during some mornings. During a sunny day, I can stop by with the motor boat, for a trip around the lake or water skiing if You like.

Response from the owner Thanks for the nice review Karin, happy to have You again :-) The road about 200m away can be heard at times, but unless You are extra sensitive - which You are - this is not a problem (though I've asked the land owner to keep the forest between the house and the road as a sound barrier). There are planned paint jobs and a pending refresh of the kitchen, but in the meantime the cleaning will be raised to the higher standard reached after You pointed this out - for which I'm grateful :-) Will also add custom-built mosquito nets ASAP as the summer has been unusually hot. “Lovely spacious house by the lake”

We spent a week at Aspenäs last summer and it's a very nice house by the lake in the beautiful surroundings of Julita. Perfect for water activities or just dwell on the veranda overlooking the lake. Spacious too!
