“Turtle Beach House”
We stayed over the week leading up to New Years at Turtle Beach House. We had an enjoyable time. The house was pretty, very private and quiet. The beaches were very accessible from the house, just a short walk across the road. Our only complaint was the beach really needs better maintenance from the Christopher Harbor. The seaweed build up is so heavy, you couldn't really plan to spend an afternoon laying on the beach. It was quite the experience going over the mountain when wanting to head into the town, very rough roads and very steep climbs. Be ready for it! Our rental car company did not get us the best vehicle for this type of terrain. The few restaurants that are on this side were nice and particularly the staff at Reggae beach bar were very friendly and accommodating to us as we were there alot! Ask for Shirley, she was great! Our teenage boys rented the jet skis & snorkle gear at Reggae and had a good time with that. Overall it was a quiet vacation, to just relax and unwind.
“Gorgeous Caribbean Villa”
Stayed here in July 2013 and the villa is lovely. Equiped with absolutely everything you could ask for and then more ! The location is a bit remote so you will need a car but then you benefit from the seclusion, peace, quiet and lovely views.
“Come and enjoy the view”
I'm not sure what I can say that others haven't. This is a beautiful home with a million dollar view. Communication with Richard went smoothly. He was always quick to respond to questions. The property manager, Liz, met us at the house when we arrived. She helped us unload the groceries we had bought, then gave us a quick tour of the home. She was also quick to respond to questions we had prior to arrival. There were 7 adults in our group (6 originally, but my niece decided to join us). It was nice to find a house that had queen beds in all the bedrooms. I'm glad they put in air conditioning a few years back. I think the bedrooms would have been too warm for sleeping had they not had air conditioning. There is no air conditioning downstairs, which is fine during the day, but it did get warm overnight. My niece was sleeping on the pull out couch. To let you know, she loves the heat, but even she thought it was a little warm. Keep that in mind if someone is planning on sleeping downstairs. Also, she said the pull out couch was very uncomfortable. It may be find for young children, but not so much for an adult. Having the kitchen was great. We bought groceries for breakfast every morning and ate out for lunch and dinner. This saved us a few bucks. We found St. Kitts to be expensive when it came to the price of meals. The grill is a charcoal grill. Something we didn't realize until the guys got it out to cook the fish they caught (we're used to gas grills at home). Unfortunately there was very little charcoal and no lighter fluid, so we ended up baking the fish. If you plan on grilling, check the supply before hand. It wasn't worth the drive back to town to get the charcoal and fluid for one dinner. We enjoyed the Reggae Beach bar nearby. So much so, we ate there 3 times during the week. Just keep in mind they close at 6:00. Something we found out the night of our arrival, at 6:10. The Spice Mill was also excellent. Try the ribs, you won't be disappointed.
Response from the owner I'm pleased you enjoyed your stay, and thanks for the feedback about sleeping downstairs. When we visited last month we took out some luxury feather toppers for the pull out couches. My 6ft teenage son slept on one for 3 weeks and says they are much more comfortable now. We also replaced the fan blades on the ceiling fans which are directly over the pull out couches, which made a huge difference to the air circulation there at night.
We spent 10 days in the Turtle Beach House. This was our first time on St Kitts and we couldn't have hoped for a better introduction. The house is perfectly located near the beach, with a view of Nevis, but without the hassle of the sand. It receives a constant gentle breeze, which we prefer to using the a/C. There is ample space on the veranda and in the the pool to enjoy life from morning to sunset. You can walk easily (10mn) to the Reggae Beach Bar and to Spice Mill a bit further. Both restaurants have excellent food. The last stretch of road to reach the house is dirt, and while it was easy enough with a regular car, I would recommend getting an SUV or small 4x4 for more comfort. Outside of the house, there are plenty of things to see and do on the island, or off (catamaran day trip was fun). There are plenty of other excellent restaurants and nice beaches. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Turtle Beach House to all of my friends going to St Kitts, we had a wonderful time.
“Wow! Best vacation ever!”
Wow! What a great vacation house. We had a great time on St. Kitts. We had almost everything we could have wanted at Turtle Beach House. The master bedroom has great a/C, but the other bedrooms were tolerable with fans and breezes. The infinity pool overlooking the ocean and across to Nevis is beautiful. There are two beaches within easy walking distance where three great reataurants sit. St. Kitts is lovely. There is pLenty to do: great golf, good food, shopping, nice people, beautiful vistas, warm water. We had a great time for a reasonable cost. Be sure to visit Carambola. For us, it was way better than staying in the big resort would have been. The car ferry to Nevis leaves from right down the road, but we didn't make it over there. We want to go back. Maybe we should have booked two weeks.

“Beautiful property with the most stunning views!”
I recently stayed at 'Turtle Beach House' in St. Kitts with my family and had an amazing time! The villa is spacious (3 bedrooms but can sleep up to 8.) The property has the most outstanding views and the infinity pool overlooks the ocean with views of Nevis beyond. The outside terrace and garden are perfect for sundowners or dining alfresco! Alternatively a few minutes walk away is one of the best restaurants on the island. It is advisable to hire a car as the property is roughly half an hours drive from the airport. It also gives you the opportunity to explore the island and everything it has to offer The owners were very attentive before and during our stay and I have to say we did feel at home upon arrival. Would love to return... tomorrow!!
Turtle Beach house is lovely, furnished tastefully with a relaxed atmosphere you feel at home. This is the first time my husband and I rented directly from an owner. It was a great experience without a hitch. We did take out flight insurance as well as Travel Guard trip insurance to cover the rental of the house. It was only $96.00. I would also recommend ordering basic grocery items from Caribbean Grocery Store online. They were delivered and put away by the time we got to the house from the airport. If you need further grocery while you're there you can order more online or go to the nearest grocery store which was in North Frigate Bay toward the Marriot called Ram. If you need ice there are outdoor machines right past the Ram store on the right. You do not need to go into town for either. There is a sand road off Turtle Beach where you can walk to Cockleshell beach. Very convenient if you do not want to drink and drive. It has a few good restaraunts a great beach for sunning, shelling and finding sea glass. But get back to the house by sunset. It's amazing! Keep an eye out for the parrots, parakeets, doves, monkeys, etc. Not only would we go back to Turtle Beach House, we would love to live there full time. Don't hesitate, it's paradise! “Stunning Villa , the best location on the island of St.Kitts”
What a find!!! We simply had the time of our lives at this gorgeous house - we will definately be returning. We found Turtle Beach House to be in the best location on the South Peninsula, it is just literally across the way (less than a minutes walk) from the most fabulous deserted sandy beach where the crystal clear water meant that the snorkelling was outstanding. The house was only minutes away from some of the best restaurants and beach bars on St.Kitts, but just staying in was a pleasure as the views from Turtle Beach House were breathtaking, from sunrise to sunset and even at night time the lights on Nevis twinkled across the sea while we sat out on the huge verandah listening to the steady chirp of the tree frogs. The house had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable, comfortable and memorable. The master bedroom and verandah was probably the most romantic place I have ever stayed, with its stunning carved four poster bed and luxury ensuite dressing room, bath / shower room etc. It is a spacious, property which we found to be extremely well ventilated - we left the vents open to allow the cooling trade winds to breeze through the house day and night. I loved the well equipped kitchen, and the vibrant spacious living area. The kids loved the infinity edge pool, lilo's and the hammocks which were strung up in the garden summerhouse and on the main deck. There were plenty of books and games to occupy ourselves plus cable TV and wifi internet access to keep in touch with the outside world. I can't fault this beautiful house and wish that I were there right now - can't wait to return sometime next year!
“We had a truly fantastic time”
Fantastic location, great faciltities and good pool. The only downside was that bedrooms two and three did not have air-conditioning. You also need to try Tessa's chicken curry - it's stunning! Overall, a very restful and peaceful holiday in a fantastic location.

“Turlte Beach House - Awesome”
My wife and I rented Turlte Beach House with an other couple to celebrate our wedding anniversaries in May. When we arrived we were truely please dwith the location and the views. The infinity pool was incredilbe with a great view of Nevis. The house was positions perfect for privacy. It is an excellent place to get an "all over tan".There was an outdoor shower which we used everyday. Nothing like showering outside looking at the ocean. The house had everything we needed, although most time was spent outside, on rainy days it was nice to watch hockey or a late night movie. Being the cook i loved the kitchen it had everything I needed. The Reggae Beach Bar was only a few minutes away by car and we always went there or a pre dinner drink. Frigate Bays Beach bars are only about 15 minutes by car. You will need a car as it is on the south tip of the island. We are already planning our return trip to the Turtle Beach House. Richard the owner is great to deal with and was always an e-mail away to answer any questions we had.
