Three of our king rooms can be split into king singles to make a twin room configuration. Getting around

Return boat transfers from the nearest road access point at Berowra Waters to Calabash Bay Lodge are a standard inclusion and we provide use of a 5 seater boat on the river during your stay. There is no boat license required to drive and we will provide a full safety briefing during your check in. There is the option to upgrade your boat for an additional cost - for licensed drivers only. Please contact us for further details.

Interaction with guest

Calabash Bay Lodge is booked on an Exclusive Use basis by one group at a time. Our guest relations manager Manuel will meet you at the Berowra Waters public wharf at your pre confirmed check in time, ready to take you by boat up to Calabash Bay, 10 minutes away. Once you’ve docked at our private pontoon, he’ll take you on a tour of the property, explaining where to find everything, and how to make the most of your time at Calabash Bay Lodge based on your interests. Once you’re settled in, Manuel will leave you to your exclusive, private enjoyment of the Lodge, however, he is available by phone to provide any further assistance throughout your stay.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Kim (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
