Description

For us a villa in the sun had to have the perfect west facing aspect for sunset family dinners on the terrace. It needed to be close enough to fantastic restaurants & local amenities (like mains electricity, internet, supermarket, pharmacy, kids playpark etc), rural enough for open views & tranquility, & as close as possible to the surf. Plus it needed thoughtful safety & entertainment for young children to ensure parents can relax.

We'd been renting villas for years in the Canaries & had not found the perfect house so in 2012 built our own. It's full of unique features like the 12 x 7m sports pitch with 6 hole putting green & rare features like the electrically heated pool to ensure warmth even in the winter. Two master bedrooms have super kingsize beds, every mattress & all linen in the villa is the finest quality to ensure the perfect nights sleep.

It's an incredible villa equally suitable for couples, groups or families to visit:

For adults it's the perfect house to relax with unique Lajares village, mountain, sunset & sea views. Or venture into the surf or bike trails before crashing out on the highest quality beds.

For parents, the kids entertainment & safety features have been thoughtfully considered to ensure you can take that well earned rest. Features include: including: Gates to hinder toddler access to pool area. Non-slip tiles. Pool in clear view from kitchen & lounge. NO bedrooms opening onto pool. All doors & windows lockable. NO glass tables or sharp table corners, NO cactus, NO gas. Extremely quiet road with 2 sets of high gates between road & house. Water & septic tanks fenced off (vital!).

Plus- baby monitor, high chair, acrylic glassware, stair gate, bed guards, optional padded floor for bunks, mosquito nets & black-out blinds on all bedroom windows, steel shutters on Ocean room windows, kids table & chairs, smoke alarms & fire extinguisher.

We hope you can enjoy it too.

You should have a rental car in Fuerte OR use our Toyota Rav4 car which can be included with your booking at an extra cost of £200. Our car is for sole use of Villa Sonrisa guests and saves you loads of time and money on your holiday (average price of this mid size 4x4/ 5 door automatic/ climate control / all mod cons would be €400 per week!) But the best news is you don't have to queue for it- so you can maximise your time at the villa rather than the airport. On arrival, just jump in a taxi and on route to the villa collect the car, a short distance from the airport. No paperwork to sign, no queuing, no wandering around car parks- this is the fastest way to collect your car and the best price- please consider our offer. FYI some car hire companies can take two hours to arrange locally, especially the 'off airport' cars.

The car is privately owned for sole use of Villa Sonrisa guests, as such we are able to offer it at only £200 per week, significantly cheaper than other car hire companies. But the best news is you don't have to queue for it - so you can maximise your time at the villa rather than the airport.

Kitchen: Designer kitchen with Balay fridge freezer, granite worktops & island seats 6, Nespresso coffee machine, ceramic hob, oven, microwave, kettle, glass & acrylic glassware, kids plastic crockery. Large French doors onto west terrace with BBQ & table for 10+.<

Utility Room: Washing machine, iron, ironing board, clothes airers and storage.

Living Rooms: Double and triple leather sofas, arm chairs, 52” Apple TV, multi-lingual satellite TV with sports, news & kids channels, DVD, sound system, iPod dock, PS2, large teak coffee table & cupboard, window to pool and double doors opening to south terrace.

Other: Wide hallway to Ocean room with shelving and desk for office or homework. Storage room/ garage for bikes/ surfboards etc. (by request). Lots of outdoor terrace space and storage boxes.

Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service: All linen, bath and beach towels provided and changed once a week during holiday. Pool cleaned twice a week or every other day for large groups. A complimentary welcome pack will be arranged for your arrival (water, milk, cereal, tea, coffee etc.).

Amenities/Facilities: hob/stove, garden, oven, parking, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, iron/ironing board, satellite tv, tv, internet access, room fans, cot, high chair, barbecue, private pool (for sole use of guests), pool heating.

Suitability: children welcome, suitable for elderly.

Accessibility: wheel chair users only by request- we can put a ramp in which would allow wheelchair access. Currently there are three steps in or out of house with good handrail so suitable for the elderly or partially abled. Swimming pool has large steps and handrail to enter/exit pool. Please contact the owner for more details on suitability for our guests if you are in doubt.

Large sliding gate gives access from extremely quiet road to driveway with ample parking for four or more cars, outdoor showers and brushes for sandy people, storage room. Large double gate opens into house grounds and sports pitch measuring approx 12m x 7m- perfect for football, kids cycling, tennis and putting green golf, adjacent to large south facing terrace, bean-bags, teak and hanging chairs. Soft grass path through gates to pool area and outdoor shower. 9x 4m electrically heated pool to ensure winter warmth (extra charge). Pool must covered when not in use. Note the pool is 2.5m wide and 1.1m deep at shallow end & 4m wide 1.9m deep at deep end. Large soft grass lawn and access to west facing terrace up 3 steps and through gates, large pergola, BBQ, outdoor table and seating for 10. 7 sun loungers.

Low walls all over the garden provide ample seating and flower beds.

Grounds surrounded by large dry stone wall. All grass is artificial.
