“Good location”

Reviewed 2 Mar 2017

This Orchid Lane house was a stone's throw away from the Caribbean. We often got up early and walked to the Malecon with our cup of coffee to watch the sunrise from the dock. The bed was the most comfortable I have experieinced in a rental situation. The kitchen has very little counter space so it is difficult to do your own cooking. The yard was pleasant with lots of plant life, it made you feel private from the street. Lots of roosters crowing at all hours of the night and day and town sounds but this is to be expected if you stay in town. All in all this was a good fit for us.

Response from the owner I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay! We are certainly all about location and comfort! -Leif

“Can't wait to return”

Reviewed 13 Feb 2014

My husband and I stayed here as part of our honeymoon to Puerto Rico. This was a perfect fit for us, with everything we needed, and we did not rent a car. We caught a couple rides with locals and otherwise took a few taxi rides during our 5 night stay. We walked to at least 5 beaches, were 1/2 block from ocean and sunset, and restaurants. We cooked during a lot of our stay and the apt. does have a coffee maker now (saw that in an old post), decent pots and pans, and most things you'd need in a kitchen. Nancy and Bruno were respectful of our privacy but we happened to love talking with them! They were very kind and had great stories. They helped us navigate when we asked questions and helped us get some great bread and coconuts. They teach bikram yoga on site and we loved their class. That was an amazing bonus. We will return and stay here again!

“Island Paradise”

Reviewed 4 Feb 2014

We have been to Vieques a number of times and love the island flavor. This place exemplifies all that we love about the island. The peace and tranquility, the mix of tropical paradise and the natural Caribbean lifestyle. The location is ideal allowing an easy walk to beaches, shopping, dining, groceries, ... or just enjoying a glass of wine and the gentle island breeze on the front patio area. This is a perfect place for a couple to relax and enjoy life. Our hosts, Nancy and Bruno were extremely helpful in making arrangements before arriving and providing information about the island during our stay. They are there when you need them, but totally respected our privacy. They are also truly good people who have embraced the island culture and are able to make their guests feel completely at ease in such a wonderful community.

“Location, location, location!”

Reviewed 22 May 2013

My husband and I and our 2 kids stayed here for a week, and we absolutely loved it! You couldn't be in a better location, less than a block from the Ocean, lot's of restaurants and shops, we had a blast. We walked down to the Malecon and watched sunset every night...rented kayaks and paddled out to the little island in the Esperanza bay to do some snorkeling, walked to Sun Bay for a day at the Beach. We only rented a car for 1 day to check out the rest of the Island, but I don't think we missed much, Esperanza is the place to be. The house was adorable, the bedroom was big enough for our kids to sleep on the air mattress next to the bed my husband and i slept in. We loved having dinner outside in the garden, (having our own kitchen helped save $$ by not having to eat out 3 times a day) and people watching out the front porch was so fun, we even saw a few horses go by! The owners were very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable, helping recommend places to eat that the kids would also enjoy, and pointing out the best spots to snorkel. I would recommend this house to anyone coming to Vieques!

“Loved the Lotus Pad”

Reviewed 15 Mar 2013

Have stayed twice in the last two years, and love The Lotus Pad. Such a sweet home with a big yard, great location, nice block, great hammocks, we relaxed totally. Love all the outdoor seating. Comfortable bed. We really feel like we have our own Shangri La when we stay at the Lotus Pad--even read some meditation and yoga books. It was like a retreat. Can't beat this value. Love close everything is. Nancy is very sweet and helpful.
