Our 1 Bedroom 1st floor unit on large property sleeps 2-4.

We offer a new memory foam core QUEEN bed in an AIR CONDITIONED bedroom. Bright and airy, traditional Vieques home, solid and comfortable.

(For kids or additional guests: queen size pull out couch in living room, or queen size air mattress for bedroom)

Full indoor bathroom, with huge shower.

Fans, great breezes from trade winds, A/C in bedroom.

Large private yard in the heart of the best tourist neighborhood in Vieques.

Tree lined yard, multilevel decks, landscaped front yard, large plantings.

Village living, no car necessary. Large fenced yard.

High speed WIFI included. Washing machine with clothes line.

2nd floor apartment is owner occupied.

From our home you are 1/2 block away from the beautiful deep blue Caribbean Ocean. Simply walk out your front door down 1/2 a block to the "Malecon", the "Boardwalk", where you can stroll along the promenade to watch breathtaking sunsets, take a swim in the Ocean, eat at any one of the 9 restaurants on the strip, enjoy a cold cocktail, shop the boutiques, hear music, or take in culture at the Vieques Historical Trust. Also on the Malecon are water sports rentals (jet ski's and Kayaks) and the world famous Bio-Bay tours leave from there as well.

2nd floor efficiency apartment may be available to rent along with 1st floor unit, sleeps 2, has separate entrance, it's own bathroom and kitchen. (Owner occupied Sept-April)

No need to rent a car, because everything is right out your doorstep:

- 1 block to 4 beaches

- 2 blocks to a bakery and (2) grocery stores (Green Store & Lydias)

-1/2 block from a family friendly playground, with basketball court and baseball diamond.

-1/2 block to Restaurants, shops, and museum

-15 minute walk to Sun Bay, one of the largest beaches in Vieques

BEACH ACCESSORIES PROVIDED:

Beach towels, beach chairs, floaters, fins, snorkels & masks provided.

Walk down the street to our Boardwalk called "the MALECON" and step into the Caribbean sea, or a restaurant or the island only bar with a huge micro brew selection, or one of the best restaurants on Vieques: Quenepo Resaurant or Billi Restaurant. Eat and dance with the locals La Nasa on the waterfront with cheap beer and traditional fried foods. Cheap good eats at Bananas or Duffy's with occasional live music.

Rent and book tours right on the Malecon for the BioBay, kayaking, jet skis, charter boats leave from our fishing pier. Watch the sunset from the best spot in Vieques--the Esperanza fishing pier. GO snorkeling by boat or sailing from Esperanza. GO horseback riding or to the nigh tours on the best biobay in the world.

Esperanza, our fishing village, also has a great small museum with local natural history, culture, and arts, and workshop events and lectures. They also host the recycling center for eco-conscious visitors.

Our concrete cabana will make you feel at home. Nicely furnished with solid wood furniture, and tiled throughout, decorated, homey and comfortable. Great for a couple or a family of 3-4.

You can snorkel right in the bay, you can swim to the island in the bay. There is so much to do here without getting into a car. But if you want to rent a motor scooter, or take a publico (our shared taxis) this is the spot.

Our home is a an EASY place with KIDS: we have a fenced yard, walk to beach for quick trip and be home for a nap, big park and playground the other end of the block! Big new Gazebo in the huge play park at the other end of our block from the ocean.

Little kids love to play around the small pier. Horses walk by on the street.

We are located at 66 ORCHID LANE, "Calle Orquideas" in Esperanza on the Caribbean side, 12 minutes from the Ferry, 15 minutes from the Airport. Easy and inexpensive access via publico or private taxi.

Response from the owner Judith, I'm sorry that the house didn't live up to your expectations. I agree that talking politics is never a good idea, Bruno should have never gone OUT of his way to drive you to the market since you didn't have a car (what a terrible host). There were some issues that needed repair, and Bruno ordered the parts to fix them but it wasn't soon enough for you. We made an exception and allowed you to bring your "emotional support" dog, which peed all over the house, rugs, which we had to throw away when you left. This house isn't a luxury rental, we never advertise for that. But it is an amazing location, and according to the numerous positive reviews we have a clean, lovely place to stay. Response from the owner Thanks so much for your feedback, I'm so sorry that you didn't enjoy the house as much as all of our other guests! This is the first review that we have gotten less than 4-5 stars, so I wanted to take a minute to respond. It's true that we don't have TV, which we are very up front about and don't list as an available amenity. This was a conscious decision, as the island is so beautiful and has so much to offer, we felt that TV was an unnecessary distraction. We DO have high speed internet, for those who wish to live stream TV on their computers, or for urgent news access. We also offer a huge DVD collection to use with a laptop. In regards to the bathroom door, there absolutely is a door, with a 3 inch space at the bottom of the door, and 8-10 inches at the top. This is actually being changed so that the door will extend all the way from the ceiling and floor, and will completely fill in any gaps in that separation. This is the first time it has been a problem for anyone, but we ARE going to fix this in the next few weeks, so I appreciate the feedback! I hope despite these 2 issues you were able to enjoy your stay on the island, we really do care that all our guests are happy and comfortable!
