This is our second visit stay at Shauna's place and once again we weren't disappointed. Shauna was very accommodating when we had to book in early due to changes in our programme. We felt comfortable and relax just as with our own home and the kids had so much fun and space to run around. We were able to visit the local beaches at a reasonable cost and spent most of our time touring Montego Bay, Falmouth, Trelawny and Kingston. I would recommend anyone with family who like to plan there our excursions at their own pace to consider staying here.

Response from the owner It was our pleasure having your family as our guests once again, very happy you enjoyed your stay! We look forward to your next visit at your home away from home :-).

The scenery was beautiful. Coming from a cold winter in the US, it was very relieving to stay in such a warm home. My family and I enjoyed it greatly. The community was friendly and overall the stay was great. We would definitely do it again.

Response from the owner Very happy you and your lovely family enjoyed your stay Monica! We look forward to having you again.

“Secound Time the Charm!”

My sister and I loved it the first time we went we couldn't think of another place to be. It was a very comfortable and relaxing time. Away from the cold of the us. The neighbors was nice and Delmar was as charming as ever.

Response from the owner Thank you! Always a pleasure having you stay with us, we look forward to your next visit.

“We will never forget!!!”

From the first moment we entered the community we knew that our decision to stay here was the right one. Only minutes away from Falmouth and easily accessible from the `Highway` this place was ideal for our vacation needs. Shauna is a great and easy person to get along with and was very nice in organizing our stay. Demar, who lives in the area was quick to resolve any needs and problems(not with the house) we encountered. The air conditioning was on and running very well upon our arrival. If you are looking for a peaceful and comfortable place to stay then I recommend you reserve and stay in this house. A taxi ride can be easily organized and "Biggs" would be happy to pick you up or drop you off for a very reasonable fee of $200 JaD, which by the way is very good considering that this house is further into the community and secluded in a cul de sac. Your neighbours are very friendly and don`t forget to be up early Friday morning sitting on the sunny yet refreshing veranda waiting for the produce man to show up with his minivan filled with fruits and veggies. Now getting to the details...the house is clean and well kept. If you keep in mind that you are coming into an empty house just as you would a hotel room then be sure to stop along the way for provisions before getting up here (Tyrone`s store in Market Square). Otherwise, it is everything a vacationer needs. Comfortable bed, great layout and generally quiet. The only nuisance depending on your personal level of noise tolerance is the neighbour`s guard dogs, but they are only doing their job and keep the surroundings safe if no one is home. It did not bother us at all, seeing as we are dog owners ourselves. As an added bonus, there are also a convenience store and tiny food stop in the commercial area of the community shortly after the gate (500m approx.) to your right if ever you ready need a food fix or a pack of smokes. From the house it`s a good 20 mins one way, but it goes by quick.

“Home away from home”

Very suitable accommodation for a average family size of 5, with lots of space which is idle when you have young children. A very quite gated community with pleasant and friendly neighbours and a definate home away from home setting. Shauna made our stay less stressful by arranging transport to pick us up from the airport and a stop at the local supermarket as she was aware that we were unfamiliar with the area. Demar was always on hand to assist us with any queries and information which was very helpful. The accommodation was within close proximity to a decent free local beach, restaurants, Falmouth Town and Montego Bay amenities. However driving would be idle to fully enjoy the surrounding areas however if can't afford a rental car or can't hack driving in Jamaica, Demar is always available to be your tour guide.

“I would recommend this place!!!”

We had a great time on our vacation, this being the fourth time going to Jamaica. I can say hands down that this a great place to stay. Very quiet peaceful and everything I needed was at the location. The neighbors were very nice and even I walk to the store. We are already counting down to our next trip back to Jamaica! Damare was very helpful throughout the whole trip. We already know where staying at this place again!!Thanks again Shauna!

“Great and Comfortable experience”

The property is located right off the highway, however, taxi will be needed back and forth into town and attractions. Shauna was very accomadating and friendly and was very helpful to to offer additional information if you are new to the area. The house is very clean and cozy and comes with all your cooking utensils. The neighbors are also nice and friendly and I find the neighborhood safe where I could go for my early morning run.I will definately stay there again.

“"simply - superb"”

As a regular visitor to the island and having done the hotels and stays with family over the years, this place was magnificent. If you are looking to self cater at a superb price in a great location, then I highly recommend this place. A great gated complex with 24hr security. The accommodation is comfortable, spacious and simply decorated with mod cons. You would not need to use the air conditioner often as there is a constant welcoming breeze once you open up all the windows. As well as being in a great location with easy access to the local town, beach and visits in one direction to Montego bay and Ochi in the other direction - whether you want a wonderful relaxing holiday or one that is full of adventure, the choice is yours. We had a car so that helped when going further afield. Great for couples, families or group of friends. The owner offered a hassle free, helpful and flexible service with a straightforward check in/out process with Demar. We will certainly be returning to what we now call our home from home. Many thanks Mrs Walker for making this a memorable holiday.

“Adventure of a Lifetime!!!”

Reviewed 10 Mar 2012

Pros: My travel group of four really enjoyed our stay at the Florence Hall Village Vacation rental provided by Ms. Walker. The home was perfect for our party as it has new appliances and furniture and offered a more private setting. We visited the nearby beach (bearwood beach?!? hope I spelled it correctly) and made many friends during our stay. Our driver, suggested by Ms. Walker, was not only freindly, but allowed us to experience the real jamaica! We visited local restaurants and mingled with local people. We experienced dunn's river falls, horseback riding in the ocean, martha's brae raft ride (romantic), and many other adventures. We felt very secure during our stay as the community is gated and has 24 hour security. Thank you Ms. Walker and Monique (owner of another vacation rental in the community) for a wonderful stay. We can't wait to come back! Cons: Be prepared to spend $$$ on transportation (about $25-$30 per person, regardless if the party is traveling to the same location). Although much cheaper public transportation is available, it's not recommend (while on an excursion, we saw one of the busses/vans flipped over). No air conditioning in the house; however, two fans are provided and the breezes made the temperature perfect (be careful if traveling during the summer months).

“Superb Experinece”

Reviewed 16 Feb 2012

The palce was located in a gated community with security guards 24 hours. It was clean with installed security grills and alarm systems. It is close to the Falmouth Pier and Trelawny Stadium and Beaches. The neighbours were very friendly and the place is brand new with hot water and living amenities. The price paid was a steal as an equivalent accomodationwas more than twice the price in Montego Bay.
