Description
Casa Luna Llena (which means Full Moon House and evokes the moon shining over the waters of Vieques) is located in a quiet residential street of Esperanza village, minutes away from wonderful beaches, including mile-long Sun Bay, and the unique Malecón, or waterfront promenade, where you will find restaurants, shops, handicraft stands, kayak and snorkeling rentals and the tours to the Bioluminescent Bay. On weekend and holiday nights, El Malecón's hanging-out spots offer regular and exotic drinks and food, music, dancing and very nice local and visiting people.
Recently renovated, Casa Luna Llena has spacious rooms, lots of light and cross ventilation and fans everywhere (even in the bathrooms). A front balcony and back terrace with comfortable porch furniture and two hammocks provide plenty of relaxation space. You will share the fruit and shade trees in the large fenced-in yard with chicken families that roam the neighborhood. The living area (20 X 20) has a delightful high wood ceiling with two large fans. The house is decorated with beautiful Puerto Rican/Caribbean art and handicrafts. The kitchen has a stainless-steel side-by-side refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and washer-dryer combo and is fully equipped with new appliances, cooking utensils and dining ware. Two bedrooms are 10’ X 16’ and both have one queen and a twin bed, large sliding door closets, AC, and wall fans. One bedroom has cable TV. The bathrooms are completely tiled and fitted with new fixtures. If your group is larger than six persons or if you prefer the privacy of an additional room, we offer an optional master bedroom with AC, wall fan, cable TV, walk-in closet, and direct access to the second bathroom for an additional cost.
Staying in Esperanza means you do not need a car to take advantage of the nearby beaches and facilities, but you may want to rent a car for a day or two to visit some of the other wonderful beaches and enjoy the spectacular sights from the hills of this tropical paradise.
US citizens do not need a passport to travel to Vieques, Puerto Rico.

Response from the owner Dear guests, Thanks for the feedback of your stay at Casa Luna Llena. I am very sorry that the house does not meet your expectations. Not all guests thinks the same. There are some things we do not have control in VQS; the horses and the roosters. We have a fence that if closed properly, the horse stay out of the property, for the roosters if the guests does not like their singing there are always earplugs at the grocery stores. At the house, we have The Vieques Insider Magazine and books with information about Vieques. The clothes washer is rusty but works fine, in a small island so close the beach the salt in terrible. Thanks again for your feedback as result I will send a communication by e-mail to all my future guests with the information you suggest. In these days most of travelers make a research before visiting the places they visit to know about their peculiarities
