“Stylish appartment very near beach and markets”

Reviewed 15 Apr 2014

Really enjoyed this lovely, stylish apartment located on the edge of the historic markets in the Medina. This meant it was away from the hustle and bustle, which could be quite a sensory-overload at times, and yet near enough to just pop in and enjoy the wonderful arts and food markets. A stone's-throw from the beach, too. Fatima cooked and tidied for us. Her food was superb and she is a great asset to the place. One point to note; the many sharp corners, glass table, stone stairs etc make it not suitable for very young kids. All-together an excellent experience.

“Amazing sea view”

Reviewed 27 Mar 2014

Outstanding location, a very friendly and accommodating owners who really cares about their renters. A beautiful and very confortable house in typical moroccan style. Most of all I enjoyed the terrace and the amazing sea and city view. Very beautiful especially at the morning time. Fully recommended!

“Our fifth visit”

Reviewed 27 May 2013

Yes, our fifth visit to this very special Medina-wall house was again, just fantastic. The location could not be more central, and the proximity to the beach thrills us. Architecturally, the house is interesting and wears well. Fatima, the caretaker, is an angel on earth. Spend the extra money and have her cook for you. You can't eat better in the town than at Fatima's table!

“Fantastic place + people”

Reviewed 26 May 2013

We spent an incredible week in Essaouira. The house is a very special place, and Fatima an incredible person. Highly advised for families with young children.

“What a view!”

Reviewed 1 Nov 2012

Yet another fantastic holiday in Essaouira! This time staying right on the city walls with a wonderful view of the bay and the harbour from the delightful balcony. The riad was beautifully clean and well furnished, wonderful showers which were much appreciated after a days windsurfing and horse riding and very comfortable beds. Plenty of room for us, our two teenage sons and one girlfriend! The location was excellent only a minute away from restaurants, shops and bakeries and the petit taxi for egtting arouns. Jaques and his wife were the perfect hosts poping round to see if everything was alright and inviting us for tea in their marvellous appartment nearby. We keep saying we'll try somewhere else next year but this was our third visist and why look further Essaouira has everything, cheap wonderful food, very friendly people, horse riding, windsurfing, camels, quad bikes, music, shopping, I think it's time to book again! We'd recommend this as an affordable family holiday if you have teenagers and the spirit of adventure.

We looking to spend a time vacations at Essaouira, because a mexican writer, Alberto Ruy Sanchez, wrote a magnifique triology about Mogador, the Islam, erotism and gardens. Our espectations about the village was high. Everithing was wondeful, because of the house we rental. Pefect place, wondeful hosting, and extraordinary cooker, Fatima. I am chef of cuisine, and she makes me fell at high quality restaurant every day. Totaly recomended. Chef Rodrigo Llanes. Mexico.

“truly engaging”

Reviewed 23 Nov 2010

my fiance and I loved every moment here. Perfect location, great place to relax and enjoy the many great food offers after expereincing the madness of Maraketch, this was perfect. Long strolls on what was an amazingly tranquil and clean beach. Accomodation was fantastic and perfectly possitioned with ease of access to an amazing and majical city! Many thanks from us both.

“Maison magique”

Reviewed 16 Nov 2010

“Excellent apartment and value for money”

Reviewed 30 Jun 2010

The apartment is right on the outer borders of the walled city and gave excellent access to the beach, port and city itself. It was easilly spacious enough for 4 adults and 2 children and serviced daily to a high standard by a maid who was very friendly and happy to give cooking lessons and accompany you to the local hamam. Jacques, the owner who lives next door to the apartment, welcomed us and briefed us on the local amenities and was very understanding when we got caught up in the volcanic eruption situation. He allowed us to stay overtime at a very reasonable rate. Overall highly recommended.

Response from the owner thanks a lot
