“We enjoyed sun, sand,& realxation.”
Jerry & Ruth are two of the nicest people we have met. We were welcomed by the both of them upon arrival. They walked us thru the house and left us a binder of information that was extremely helpful. The house was immaculate and modern. Our children enjoyed the hot tub after a long day @the beach which was awesome. The location was great a 3 minute walk to beach, a 5 minute drive to a small plaza, a 5 minute drive to Shaws. Approximately 15-20 minute ride to downtown Hyannis which is a strip of shops& restaurants. It was a great vacation all around, except not long enough.
Response from the owner Thank you for your review. Ruth and I always try to have our home spotless so that while you and your family are on vacation you only need to think of where when and how your going to spend the day.
“Cape cod plus all amenities”
My family has been vacationing during the summer on the Cape for many years. We have stayed in several hotels and cottages. What we liked best about Captain alexander's is "The Cape with all the amenities". First of all, it is a short walk to a very nice beach which was very important to us. The accommodations bring privacy and all the amenities we loved to round out our vacation. Even though most of the time on the Cape there is no need of a/C my husband appreciated having the option of turning it on for a comfortable nights sleep. It was also nice to have a private hot tub, deck and grill. The location was centraI to all the highlights and would recommend it highly. The proprietors, Gerry and Ruth, are very friendly and were available if we needed them. Don't miss seeing the seals on Chatham harbor a short distance away.
“Great place to stay and play”
A great place to stay for a vacation on Cape Cod. The rooms were comfortable and of good size. There was a relaxing atmosphere and all the comforts of home. Plenty of games and videos for adults and kids and a large screen TV. Parking was ample and easy to come and go. The kitchen was more than expected. The back yard and spacious rear deck and furnishings made outdoor meals and barbecuing a pleasure. I especially liked the covered outdoor shower (with hotwater) to wash away beach sand and ocean salt. Speaking of ocean salt, the beach is just a short walk away.
We love the Cape. We go to spend time with family and friends. So we are the type of vacationers who spend the majority of our time either at the rental or at the beach but never very far from either. This rental is an older home but the owners maintain it well. A pleasant walk to the beach The back yard has everything you need an outside shower, hot tub, hammock, and out door eating area makeing this a quintessential Cape Cod experience.
“The perfect place to fall in love with Old Cape Cod”
What can we say about Captain alexander's? This year will be our 7th summer stay. The accommodations are quite comfortable, the hot tub & outdoor shower wonderful. Great yard for a lobster feed or a game of bocce. Just a short lovely walk to the beach, past quaint little cottages for a day of sun & sand or watching the moonlight on nantucket sound. The trip to Monomoy on the pontoon is exciting, we've seen seals everytime! Visit a local art fair or antique shop, go sightseeing or catch a play at a local theater, all within a short drive. Just a word about the hosts. Wonderful! Ruth is a sweetheart. & Jerry...got a question? Jerry's got the answer. They know all the best places to eat (don't forget to wind up at Sundae School) This is the perfect place to fall in love with old Cape Cod.
