South Wind Villa is a beautiful, comfortable and spacious 6 bedroom private home in Baan Thalay Thai which is a lovely little beach community situated on Koh Chang's pristine and unspoiled East side between green tropical mountains and an extremely quiet beach. Only steps to the seaside, you can swim in calm waters or relax in your own private swimming pool facing the sea. This two storey home features an enormous balcony off the upstairs Master bedroom with lovely views of the sunrise over the water, an intimate deck and patio around the infinity pool. The extremely private beach is 100 meters from your front steps. You and your family will rest peacefully in the 6 large bedrooms, 3 of which have very comfortable king sized beds, 3 with queen size and the 6th loft bedroom has a twin bed which is perfect for children or a helper. The house has 4 bathrooms as well as a large living room with home theatre system, teak wood accents throughout and a very large and fully equipped open kitchen.. All rooms are air conditioned. Linens are provided (bed sheets and towels). Free sea Kayaking on our 2 seater kayak. Daily maid service is available for a surprisingly reasonable fee and free once a week during extended stays..

Some of the island's best dining (the Souk and Amber Sands) is only a brief bike or scooter ride away, and will even make deliveries. We can assist you with rental cars, transportation to and from the island as well as boat excursions and other activities. We are located on the East Coast of Koh Chang only minutes from the ferry dock. The excitement of White Sand Beach and Lonely Beach is a 15 minute drive away - but solitude and quiet are yours here in Baan Thalay Thai, a secluded residential community of 15 private homes.

House rules

Please do not leave airconditioners on when out exploring the beach or the island. Electricity is outrageously expensive. Also, please do not move beds or other furniture without our assistance. The floors scratch very easily. Check-in time is at 3 PM - check out time is at 11 AM

“Amazing place and lovely people”

We been there for 10 days and house was absolutely perfect owner (army) he was best and lady called (noa) both they were lovely and so helpful thanks for everything, we will come back again

Response from the owner These guests were the worst we've ever had - they were rude, confrontational and complained about absolutely everything, made the most hideous mess of the place that I've ever seen, throwing sofa cushions on the floor and sleeping on them, throwing wet towels on the furniture, and for the grand finale - they had us clean the entire house every day for 8 days straight, and then used the most ridiculous excuse I've ever heard to justify not paying for the cleaning service. These people are not welcome back and I would caution other property owners to avoid them - you are only asking for trouble, and a bogus negative review to top it all off. We've had fantastic feedback until these folks showed up.
