A spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment overlooking the sea, situated in the idyllic complex, El Faro. Just a 30 minute (30km) drive from Malaga airport. The location is suitable for all ages, as it is situated in a peaceful community but is also a 10 minute walk away from a sandy beach, bars, restaurants and a small supermarket.
The apartment accommodates up to 6 people. It has 2 bedrooms, the first, with a double bed and en-suite bathroom, opens out to the balcony. The second has 2 single beds. Both rooms have ample cupboard and under bed storage space. The open plan living area has a DVD player, stereo, dining table and a double bed settee. The living area opens to the balcony, equipped with sun loungers and overlooking the sea. The front of the apartment overlooks the communal pool (unheated) and attractive surroundings.
We usually can arrange to take you to and from the airport (there is a charge). Otherwise you can be met at the apartment . Any requests for groceries can be arranged for your arrival. Details of local services and recommended attractions to visit are provided.
The local beach has an adjoining restaurant and bar with alluring views over the sea, making it an ideal place to dine while the sun goes down. There is a good selection of restaurants within an easy walking distance (Spanish, international, seafood, Indian, Thai, Mexican, Italian, Chinese and fish and chips for the adventurous). Takeaways are available from all the local restaurants. The sports bar shows live football.
It is situated in an ideal location between Fuengirola and La Cala, both approximately 5km away. Local buses from El Faro can take you to both towns. Fuengirola features many restaurants, bars, shops and a beautiful stretch of beach. There is a water park and a zoo in the area as well as a newly built shopping mall and an extensive weekly market on a Tuesday. You can also climb up to the remains of the Moorish castle of Sohail or arrange a trip to spot dolphins in glass bottom boats. Fuengirola and Marbella (approximately 25km away) both have an exciting and lively night life.
La Cala is an appealing Spanish town, with an inviting beach, restaurants, bars, shops, internet café, banks and a supermarket. Outside the supermarket there is a bus stop and taxi rank, where you can reach any of the neighbouring towns from and bring back supplies with ease. The local transport means hiring a car is not essential. The area can be explored via local buses, car hire or coach tours that visit all the popular destinations. There is also a market worth visiting on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The area is known for its golf courses. El Chaparral Golf Club is an attractive club and easy to reach in the direction of Marbella. There are activities available for all the ages, such as go-karting, golf, tennis, horse riding, quad biking and water sports. El Chapparal an excellent course which features 6 par 3's, 6 par 4's and 6 par 5's. The prices are reasonable as well, such as the early riser price which provides you with a discount if you tee off before 9am.
If tennis is your sport, there are numerous clubs that you can go to. Many have a 'Pay and Play' session, where you can without membership. The Lew Hoad Tennis and Paddle club is in a beautiful area of tropical gardens. It is a friendly atmosphere, with players from all over the world competing in tournament. It is situated between Fuengirola and Mijas so a short journey from the apartment.

Place is fantastic , so well equipped with all you would need . The views are spectacular a hidden gem . The owner Helene is so prompt with emails and queries to this establishment and Lilly the housekeeper is so good with anything we need . El faro is beautiful and nice eateries nearby .Have now booked for next year as the apartment is superb and Helene is superb with anything at all . A must book !!!

“Excellent large apartment with great views from the balcony”
Another great stay at this lovely apartment, value for money and in a great location. Just returned (been four times over the years) and will be booking again. Value for money, good spacious accommodation, within walking distance of the beaches/bus route into Fuengirola and La Cala. Short walk down the hill to the Taxi rank if you don't want to walk. Buses are reasonable, 1.50 Euros into town, lots of lovely Restaurants.This is in a residential block so quiet at night. Lilly is very helpful and because we were arriving late we asked her to get some water and milk which she did for us, she is very helpful and pleasant. Would definitely recommend this apartment and will be going back soon, thanks once again Helene !!

We would have hoped that if you had any difficulty finding the apartment that you would have contacted either myself or Lilly. The community is situated between the towns Fuengirola and La Cala. As you explain of the main road.approx 10 minutes to the nearest towns either way by transport. This information is on the literature on the webpage. Although there are local restuarants and, bars and shops nearby. As it is part of a community the apartments do unfortuantly look alike, I am sorry that you did not contact me or Lilly if you felt the property was not up to standard. All the best Helene
