Situated in the South of the island, 20 minutes from the international airport, . Our White Cedar apartment overlooks the beautiful Caribbean Sea from the traditional fishing village of Laborie.

The apartment offers a double master bedroom with a spacious private balcony offering a spectacular view across Laborie Bay and the Caribbean Sea – on a clear evening you may even be lucky enough to witness the legendary Green Flash as the sun finally disappears over the horizon. There is a spacious twin bedroom with an outdoor area perfect for BBQs or playing games. The apartment also has a shower room and the living space is an open plan lounge/kitchen with family sized breakfast bar.

The kitchen is fully fitted and well equipped with a four hob gas cooker/oven, fridge (including freezer section) and microwave. The apartment has hot and cold running water, mosquito netting and ceiling fans throughout. There is wifi too so bring a laptop to keep in touch with everyone back home!

There is ample secure parking if hiring a car and a home-grown botanical garden with Pineapple, Spinach, Moringa, Bananas, Lime, Bougainvillea, Bird of Paradise and Ginger Lily. In case of outages during storms there is an independent back up system for water and electricity.

Water sports are available in the area, especially at Sandy Beach, Vieux-Fort, where kite surfing is very popular, along with windsurfing, snorkelling, diving, sailing and kayaking. Fishing and boat trips can also be arranged too.

I booked a 2 week holiday for my husband and I in Laborie, St. Lucia. We had never been there before and considering it was January, we knew that if we wanted good weather we would have to go further than Europe! From our arrival on the Island we were treated to first class help from David and Gill, our apartment owners. They really couldn't have done more to help us. David collected us from the airport and was in great form despite our flight being over 1 hour late and even offered to stop at a supermarket to let us stock up! The following morning, he took us to hire a car at a very good price compared with prebooking at the airport! The apartment is lovely and spacious, very clean and comfortable and easy to keep clean. It has the most magnificent views from the balcony, overlooking Laborie bay. It has a beautiful, serene, mature garden with lots of native plants which are quite stunning! David and Gill offered us great advice on places to visit and we met some lovely people on our travels.We have never felt quite so relaxed on any other holiday and we are certain that this is because David and Gill were the perfect hosts.

Response from the owner Unfortunately, we do not speak French and the guests knew very little English! We greeted them with Bonsoir, ca va but that is my limit! We asked a Local friend that understands French to help, on their first morning and they seemed happy with that and went out with him a few times during their stay. I do not understand how we could be rude and prying. I had to empty the rubbish every day, they loved fish, so apart from that the apartment was cleaned and bedding/towels were changed on their sixth day . They left the apartment at 4.30am, to take a ferry and my partner spoke to them as they went and seemed happy with their stay. If you check our reviews, from previous guests, telling how we look after them. I believe it was because of the language barrier they thought we were rude?
