Find relaxation by the waterfront in an amazing one of a kind cottage situated at the water's very edge on the sunny west side of Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands in NW Washington state.

The remarkable view from our Sea Dream Cottage is spectacular…the sea, sky and the multitude of islands beyond. . . the ever-changing view is always interesting. Delight in sitting on the comfortable sofa inside or on the deck with a cup of coffee to take it all in.

The peacefulness and quiet is good for the soul. Wall of windows, large sunny deck, stunning views; gel-top all Nova foam bed for restful sleep, fully equipped kitchen with everything two guests need, comfy sitting area with a masonry wood burning fireplace; ephemeral sunrises and spectacular sunsets; private waterfront. So much more than a place to sleep.

Lay in bed at night and listen to the sea brush against the coast and gaze at the stars. See harbor seals, sea lions, harbor porpoise, minks, river otters, bald eagles and even the occasional Orca whale swim by! Unforgettable.

Sea Dream Cottage is on Orcas Island. The unique location and surrounding property is a part of the dream cottage experience. All Dream Cottages cottage – and specifically our Sea Dream Cottage deserves a visit, and a visit will convince you that life in nature is good.

Our Isle Dream Cottage is a small waterfront hideaway on its own hillside – the best choice for a honeymoon.

Our Mariner’s Dream Cottage, on a private waterfront with a large sunny deck and the most mesmerizing views of the sea, islands and marine life is roomy with a queen sofa bed for a 3rd guest. Getting around

Orcas Island is 57 square miles BIG; It is the largest island in the San Juan Island chain in NW Washington. Because of its shape, it also has the most waterfront. In order to appreciate all that it offers, we recommend guests have a car. Most guests rent a car and drive it onto the ferry; for those walking on, rental cars are available on island. Foot traffic inter-island is free so that guests can explore the other islands cruising on the ferries. Guests have also brought bicycles and kayaks (both are also available to rent on island) to explore the nooks and hamlets as well as the surrounding sea.

Interaction with guest

We appreciate our guests desire for a more romantic and private lodging experience. We strive to provide that cozy and intimate, yet comfortable space for our guests. Our Inn-Keeper does a complete walk through prior to your arrival and leaves keys and a card with your name in the cottage. Ours is a completely contact-less check in. The door is left open. Just walk in. Given your contact information, we send a complete confirmation with cottage details and driving instructions. Electronic devices and electronic maps are not reliable on island. Thus, we ask that you bring these instructions with you. Check in is at 4:00p.m.; check out at 11:00 a.m. Please leave us a message telling us that you have arrived safely.

If Richard and Nanae (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
