Description
Experience the Sahara in the coolest way possible - our desert camp located just 15 minutes outside of M'hamid. We offer 20 tents, a full-service restaurant, and many amazing activities including sand boarding, camel riding, and more.
The camp Erg is located in the dunes at the foot of the ERG LIHOUDI 100 m. This camp was built by nomadic goat hair or camel and a mixture of wool, reinforced with a wooden frame.
To brighten up your stay in our camp, the traditional Moroccan folklore will be there to relax and immerse yourself in the mysterious night sky of the desert. The evening will be pleased with the meal and taste the typical music of the blue men.
We offer a variety of sizes in tents in our camp. Smaller tents can comfortably accommodate 2-3 people, while larger tents can sleep 5-6. Linens are provided and we can offer additional blankets if needed. Bathrooms are communal and shared among the guests in the camp, and our restroom facilities include toilets, showers, and sinks. Towels are included as well. Each tent has electrical outlets (EUR conversion) so while this is very much a "camping" experience, you can also conveniently plug in your electrical gadgets with no problem.
Breakfast and dinner are included. Lunch can be purchased at 200dh per person, and of course we can accommodate vegetarian requests.
A wide range of optional excursions are offered for our guests to select and include among their reservation.

1) If our guest pleases to spend a night or more in l'erg camp and another night ( or more ) in our second camp located in the great dunes of Erg Chegaga we offer a reduction in night price when spending more than 2 nights ( $39 per night + dinner and breakfast included )
2) You can participate in the making of deliciouse Moroccan meals
3) Sand bording on the great dunes
CIRCUITS
We offer circuits of 3 days to 6 days
Information:
Trekking time each day is approx. 5-6hrs with plenty of rest stops and a long lunch break in shade.
All tours are full board basis with overnight in 2-person bivouac tents.
Please specify at time of booking if you prefer to ride by camel for the duration of the tour, as opposed to walking
Please allow 1 day for travel to reach the desert from the start point and 1 day to return back.
Our start/finish points are usually either Marrakech or Ouarzazate – please specify alternative at time of booking.
Departure to the camp can be done from Zagora or M'Hamid. If you come from Ouarzazate, Marrakesh or another region of Morocco, we can arrange your transport.
Pick up can be done by camels from Hotel DAR AZAWAD, its enough to mention the time of arrival and your camels will be there ready to pick you up deep into the sahara dunes
