Description

This home is convenient to all the best HHI has to offer, as well as, enjoying the privacy of a quiet neighborhood with a great view of the lagoon from almost every room. Enjoy coffee/breakfast on the patio. Then take a leisurely walk or bike ride to the beach, award winning golf course, or convenient shopping / dining. The home is a newly renovated ranch house with easy access. It features a well equipped kitchen (with all new stainless appliances), garage parking, on site laundry, high speed WiFi, cable on flat screen TVs, DVD, leather furnishings in the den and dining, and a full size pool table (& other games) to ensure you have fun and comforts of home. You are assured a comfortable night's sleep on the King size Tempur-pedic bed in the master bedroom or the Sleep Number Queen bedding in the bay window room. The third bedroom has recently been upgraded to include 2 queen beds with upholstered headboards and memory foam mattresses. All 3 bedrooms have their own walk in closets. If you need sleeping accommodations beyond the 3 bedrooms, we also supply a queen size inflatable mattress on an accordion stand. (This is very comfortable. We used for weeks during our renovations.) In addition, you are welcome to use the owner supplied bikes, beach chairs, cart, and umbrella. (see pics). A full sized stainless gas grill with outdoor table and seating gives another option for the nights you'd rather eat in. During peak season, the rental period is Saturday to Saturday.

Getting around

We supply 8 bikes for your use (6 adult/2 child) for trails on Hilton Head Island. (This is an easy 5 min bike ride to the beach or General Store.) In addition, you can use these to travel over to Shelter Cove Marina for shopping / Dining with out crossing a busy street by taking the bike trails under the highway. (If you prefer to walk to the beach we also offer a beach cart for carrying your gear.) During April till late summer you may take also take advantage of the Palmetto Dunes FREE "Dune Buggy" service. This is a van that will pick you up to take you anywhere in PD or over to Shelter Cove. There's also parking (1st come/1st serve) for PD at the Disney Beachhouse. PD charges vehicle fee: $25/vehicle/wk stay

Interaction with guest

If you chose to book our home we will send you a rather extensive "Welcome Packet" about a week before your arrival. In this we detail directions to our home, access codes (our home has a digital keypads so you don't have to worry about keeping up with keys), internet passwords, codes for bike locks, maps (bike trails, the walk to the beach, Shelter Cove map, etc), our suggestions for local entertainment, favorite restaurants, and departure instructions.. Additionally, we have our house cleaned by a professional service and restock fresh towels/linens between each guest to make sure the home is in excellent condition for your enjoyment.
