Casa Minerva is a 2-storey, 4-bedroom vacation house in Tagaytay City, Philippines, with a private infinity pool. It is perfect for family gatherings, class reunions, wedding preparations, team buildings and small parties. Rental rate includes use of private swimming pool, videoke, satellite TV, LPG, barbecue grill, and WiFi.

This house has a floor area of 250 square meters and sits on a 240 square meter lot. It is fully furnished with Filipino design hardwood furniture in the living and dining rooms. It has 5 bathrooms (2 en-suite), a fuilly-equipped kitchen and a two-car gated garage with concrete roof deck.

The first floor consists of the following rooms/areas: (1) Dining Room; (2) Formal Kitchen; (3) Dirty Kitchen with Toilet and Bath; (4) Laundry Room; (5) a Common Toilet and Bath, and; (6) a Bedroom with a single bed plus pull-out bed and en-suite Toilet and Bath.

The second floor consists of: (1) Living Room; (2) Covered terrace with toilet; (3) Master's Bedroom with queen size bed, queen size sofa bed and en-suite Toilet and Bath; (4) Bedroom with queen size bed; (5) Bedroom with twin bed and one pull-out bed, and; (5) Common Toilet and Bath.

On the front yard of this property is a 5x7 meters infinity pool which is 3 to 5 feet deep. In-pool lighting that changes color every few seconds adds drama and elegance to this vanishing-edge pool, perfect for night swimming.

The living room has a 40 inch flat screen satellite TV and a videoke machine.

The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave oven, rice cooker, electric kettle and 2-burner gas stove. Cooking is allowed in the kitchen. Cookware, tableware, cooking and eating utensils are provided. Grilling is allowed in the patio. Griller is provided and the charcoal may be bought at 50 pesos per kilo. A hot and cold water dispenser may be rented. Only one hundred pesos for 5 gallons of mineral water (inclusive of water dispenser rental).

All of the 3 bedrooms in the second floor (including the master's bedroom) are airconditioned. Rooms/areas without aircon have electric fans. There are 2 queen size beds, 1 queen size sofa bed, 3 single beds (2 of which have pull-out or trundle beds) and 4 single mattresses. We provide complete beddings for up to 20 persons. All of the 4 showers inside the house have water heaters.

Bed linen and pillows are proveded. Bath towels may be rented for 100 pesos each.

Guests are also treated to free wifi. For best results, please limit connections to 5 gadgets at a time.

HOUSE RULES:

Only the confirmed number of guests will be allowed inside. Guests of guests are not allowed.

Number of guests in excess of 20 will be charged an additional of Php 250 per head per night.

No smoking inside the house.

No pets allowed inside the house.

Clean as you go.

No loud singing and loud music after 10 pm.

Guests are responsible for keeping their own items secure. We will not take responsibility for any lost items.

Guests who cause damage to any furniture or appliance will be charged accordingly. Php 1000 will be charged for wet/soiled mattress and upholstery.

Check out time is 12 noon. Allow at least 15 minutes for the caretaker to check for any damage or loss prior to check out. Php 700 per hour will be charged for late check-outs.

Response from the owner Thank you for submitting a review and we respect your opinions, Mr. Hayter. However, let me just clarify a couple of things which could mislead or misinform our future guests. First, as a host of a vacation home for rent in TripAdvisor, I do not handle the damage deposit. TripAdvisor collects, holds and returns damage deposits. It is their policy to hold and return the deposit 10 days from your check out day, unless the host raised a claim. This is clearly stated in their website. Second, not all our furniture are "dated" since some of the beds are less than 3 years old. We purposely chose to retain and restore the Filipino hardwood furniture because we are also promoting Filipino culture and take pride in the craftsmanship of our local wood carvers. Your other comments are taken into account as we are working on providing better service to our guests.
