Description
In the the heart of the Peruvian Amazon, Allpahuayo Mishana, Iquitos, we have a 2 story house-lodge completely of wood and green, with a private room with two beds, plus other wedding private room, plus other beds in the other semi-open space on the second floor. Total safety nets, large and comfortable ecological bathroom (ash no water is used), kitchen bar (locally known as Tushpa, with grill on fire), all surrounded by nature, gardens and small streams of black water and fresh. The house is equipped with mosquito nets.
According to the rules of an ecolodge in a nature reserve is not provided with electricity, lighting candles and bath water and shower are caught in nearby streams and more is collected in special containers.
It is an ideal place to make contact with this part of the Amazon jungle, protected area and place 2004 National Reserve, due to its inondables woods and forests of white sand and black water, unique in its kind. Each year we receive many biologists around the world to study and classify the many species of birds (only in this area have 500 species of birds-there throughout Peru 2000).
We generally offer too, if they wish, complete package of 2 or more days, including not only accommodation but also food (all food is fresh and local as fish, meat or vegetables), transport, hiking through Reserve, jungle trips and river boat, and visit the Amazonian communities. This is a National Natural Reserve: we believe that the best part is discovering! Advise us if interested.
The lodge is out of town, inside the reserve, and to achieve it will take 40 minutes bus, plus 50-minute walk on the same reserve (see map).
We believe it is an experience to live; staying in this wild and pure vegetation you can keep in touch with hundreds of different species of animals and birds, which we experience only!
