Description

Benalmar is a popular 3rd floor atico apartment accessible via a lift or stairs. It is in a great location, walk 5 minutes along the road one way and you will come to the beach and 5 minutes the other way is a large local supermarket and even some tennis courts. There are plenty of bars and restaurants on the doorstep. The marina is an easy 25 minute walk along the promenade, nice and flat, but if you didn´t feel up to it you can always use public transport. A bus ride along the road would cost just over a euro and a taxi ride about 7 euros. Both the bus stop and taxi rank are 5 minute walk.

On entering the apartment the bathroom and bedroom 2 are on the left and bedroom 1 is on the right. Straight through to the kitchen/lounge area. The kitchen is very modern and very well equipped with a dishwasher, full oven & electric hob and a washing machine. All the usual utensils provided.

The lounge area is air conditioned and has a ceiling fan. There is a flat screen tv showing Spanish and English speaking tv channels and the apartment has internet. There is seating for 4 and patio doors open onto the terrace.

Bedroom 1 has a super king size comfortable bed. This room also has air conditioning and fitted wardrobes.

Bedroom 2 is a twin bedded room with full size single beds, air con and a chest of drawers.

The recently reformed bathroom has a walk in shower.

Now onto the feature of this apartment, the lovely outside space. A great area for dining, being out in the sun topping up your tan or under the shade reading a book, whichever you prefer you have it all here. The terrace overlooks the pool and garden area and gets the sun most of the day. Access is from the lounge. There is a dining table and four chairs for al fresco dining and the length of the terrace can be covered with a pull across shade when you want to escape the sun. Shades can be wound down over the main bedroom window and the lounge if required.

Benalmar is a popular well kept clean complex surrounded by trees and scrubs, typical Spanish style.

The lovely Spanish town area of Arroyo de la Miel where you will find the train station and the local weekly market is a 20 minute walk away or easily accessible on the bus, local transport is very good.

Inside the apartment is non smoking but you are welcome to use the terrace. We do appreciate your co-operation with this policy. We do not accept pets.

Check in time for the accommodation is 16.00pm and check out is 10.00am but this is flexible and we try to have all our guests in and settled as soon as we can.

Travel cots, pushchairs, high chairs, sun loungers, beach umbrellas, cool boxes, fans etc., are all available for hire. Enquire about rental costs. If there is something you need for your holiday that we don´t rent out ourselves let us know and we will try and source it for you.

Bed linen and 1 bath and 1 hand towel provided per week for each guest. Beach towels are not provided but are available for rent at a cost of €2.50 per guest per stay.

This apartment is managed by Benalrent, a husband and wife team with 10 years experienced in the holiday rental market. We pride ourselves on the service we offer and in making your holiday stress free as we know how hard people work for their annual break, as do we. We have over 15 properties advertised on Holiday Lettings.

Airport transfers can be arranged through our own website Benalrent if required.

On your day of arrival you will be met at the property with the keys.

For guests with a flight arrival time after 22.00PM there will be a €20 meet & greet charge.

If flight times are not convenient with check in/check out times we can store your luggage for a small cost, depending on how long for.

Getting around

The local bus service is cheap and reliable and the bus stops can be found on the main road less than 10 minutes walk away. From the local tobacconists shop you can purchase a bus card which you pre pay so you do not need cash each time you use the bus. This is very handy. You can visit Malaga, Fuengirola, Mijas all great places to visit while you are in the area. The train station in Arroyo de las Miel is about a 15 minute walk. There will be details on things to see and do in the apartment. You do not need a car to stay here.

On arrival I will meet you at the property with the keys to show you in and tell you about the complex and the area. There will be info in the apartment on things to see and do around and about. Benalmar is managed by myself and my husband Nigel and we will always be available as a contact in the resort as this is where we live. If for any reason we are not available there will always be a replacement contact details listed for use during your stay.

The washing up liquid and teabags were not left by previous guests but from ourselves with the other complimentary drinks you mentioned. With regard to the strictness of the pool rules and ball games etc., this has to be adhered to as it can be a busy around the pool and it is done for safety reasons and also the pool is a place to relax. As you say the apartment is exactly as it is in the photos, what you see is what you get. Once again thank you for a great review, much appreciated :)
