Enjoy this sweet, rustic cottage with private beach and raft on Ryder Pond in South Truro, within Cape Cod National Seashore. Swim and fish in crystal clear water. Row around the pond and stop in the Cove and look for Sun Turtles!

Close to Wellfleet Center and Harbor and a short drive to Truro beaches. Amenities also include an outdoor shower, hammock, picnic table, gas grille, row boat, kayak and raft. Single pet friendly upon owners approval.

Stay Saturday to Saturday, Check in at 3PM, Check Out 10AM.

Response from the owner This year would have been Dreamer’s 3rd summer and 4th week at our cottage. We are shocked that she chose to remove the excellent review she posted in 2018 titled “We want to go back” and replaced it in 2020 with this erroneous one. We have a number of lovely back and forth texts from Dreamer over the past 3 years. In 2019 she texted “You have a gem of a property here. Staying here for 2 weeks was a real treat for us”. We have friendly e-mails from 2019 with Dreamer, regarding the issue of the geese. Contrary to her review, the issue was discussed with a reply that she is “familiar with problems with geese frequenting the ponds and would discourage them from parking on our raft”. When discussed in 2020 we informed Dreamer that although the geese have not yet made an appearance, we’ve placed an owl statue on the raft as a deterrent. This Gem has been in our family for 100 years. Many generations of families have rented from our grandmother, our Aunt and now us. Noreen and another sister are typically the only ones communicating with renters. In the case of Dreamer’s rental, because we never received payment, which Dreamer said she sent by USPS, another sister presented three options for speedy payment; Zelle, Venmo and USPS 2 day mail and we would pay postage. Dreamer found all unacceptable and cancelled her reservation. We hope that you won’t be influenced by this unkind review. If Christine (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
