Description

Perfect for groups of friends and families.

Can't get closer to the beach. Minute's walk to the ferry terminal to explore other islands. Perfect for family and private group beach getaway. A Convenience store right next to it. It's an old building, but it has been renovated. Inside it has new walling, lights etc. In the winter the there is under-floor heating (ondol) and in the summer there are air-conditioning and fans. Not that this matters because there is nowhere else you can get the privacy, views and access to the beach. There are strong warm showers in the outer building and we provide a discount to the main hotel sauna and public bathrooms to those who want to chill out in the luxurious public bathrooms of the Riviera Hotel.

1. Oedo Botanical Island

2. Sea Kayaking around Yondeol Island (Snorkelling in Crystal Clear Water).

3. Easy access to other islands and beaches including Gujora Beach, Naedo Island etc.

4. ATVs - Mountain Forest Trail with spectacular sea and island views.

5. Fishing- Select shore, off-shore fishing. You can walk out of the house and start fishing. Deep Sea fishing is also available

We provide our famous BBQ packs on request.

Our most popular BBQ packs include Lamb and Steak Combo Packs with potato salad, mixed green salad, fried veggie rice and BBQ toast with cheese, tomato and onion. Special dietary requests can skip the meat and get more of all the other goodies.

Our house and office are very near the beach house and we are here any time you need us.

The Neighborhood

Wahyeon Beach is a real gem with magnificent views of the beach and surrounding islands. All activities are very close. This house is on the ferry-Riviera Hotel side of the beach and therefore allows for more spontaneity. There are also other convenience stores, coffee shops and Korean restaurants within less than 5 minutes walk from the beach house.

Getting Around

We have parking right next to the house, but during the summer vacation this area is used for an outside beach restaurant. There are many other places to park during this time.

For people coming by bus:

You can take public buses 22 or 23 from Gohyeon Intercity Bus Terminal on Geoje Island. You can also take a taxi. We will gladly call you one.

Getting around

There are 3 convenience stores, a ferry terminal, hotel spa, screen golf, billiards and karaoke all within a short walking distance from wherever you are along the horse shoe shaped beach. Gujora Beach and Gonggoji are within walking distance. City buses connect you to places further away including Okpo, Jisepo, Gohyeon, Jangseungpo, Hakdong Beach, Windy Hill, Haegeumgang, Mundong Waterfalls etc. With the new highway tunnel which opened between Jisepo and Okpo the times were slashed from 25 minutes to 5 minutes which makes everything close by. We can also call you a taxi or take you on organised tours around the island.

Waegook Travel is a licensed travel agent and tour operator based on Geoje Island. Our local knowledge and years of experience will get you to the places you would like to visit. We live a few minutes away from the Beach House and are always around if you need any support or advice.
