Response from the owner We regret that Mr. Beggs did not enjoy his stay, but we strongly feel that this review is a complete misrepresentation of our vacation home. His claims contradict ALL of the 5-star reviews we received on various travel sites from guests who visited us right before and right after Mr. Beggs’s in July 2020. We take pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleaning, and our house is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized by a 2-person crew before each rental. They are hard-working and dedicated professionals, and they have our full trust. We’ve never received a complaint regarding their work- on the contrary- our guests compliment us on always finding our house spotless. We also have a property manager who does a walkthrough after each cleaning to ensure that nothing was missed. Our pool & spa are operated by an automated central pump and filtration system, that continuously pulls the impurities from the water and filters them out before releasing clean water back into the pool. So finding a hairball in the pool would be extremely unlikely, almost impossible, as the water is constantly circulating through the filter. Additionally, our professional pool technician cleans and balances the water between rentals. The technology in our house is one of our most praised features. We have digital touch panels all around the house to operate the Sonos sound system, and to control of the pool & spa temperature. Each bedroom is equipped with a Samsung 46 inch LED TV with Amazon Fire Sticks with full access to Netflix, SlingTV and Amazon Prime. Media room has a 65 Samsung LED 4K TV with full surround sound. We realize that not all guests are tech-savvy and we gladly offer our assistance as needed. We offered Mr. Beggs live instruction through Facetime, but sadly he were unable to do that with his flip-phone. We deeply regret that in spite of the many calls we had with Mr. Beggs, he was was still unable to figure out how to operate and enjoy our TVs. It saddens us to realize that there are guests out there who resort to unconventional ways to get a free stay, with claims of finding hairballs, and fabricated cleaning issues. We are highly insulted by those who threaten us with a bad review in exchange for a free stay. We stand by the high standards of our accomodations, and the care we put into every detail. Hundreds of wonderful reviews we received over the years can attest to that. In spite of this bad experience, we will continue to share our home with guests looking for a fun and relaxing escape in the Pocono Mountains, and to help our guests create precious memories.
