Hamptons Beach Shack Dangar Island
Newly built and spacious renovated by an interior designer in Hamptons style with cathedral ceilings. 36 square metres internal space place deck.Private Beach with spectacular waterviews in a tranquil setting.
Dangar Island recently featured third out of 100 in the Australian Traveller magazine as one of Australias top 100 most undiscovered spots.
Transport
Dangar Island is located one hour drive from Sydney CBD. Trains run at least hourly from central to the Hawkesbury River train station. The ferry is a 2 minute walk from the train station.
Located one minute by water from the mainland. Transport to island can be by water taxi or daily ferry service. The ferries to Dangar run every hour.
What to do on Dangar
The island has a café open daily, located on the water and has artwork and jewellery designed by local talented artists.
The bowling club is open Thursday evening, Friday evening, Saturday lunch and dinner and Sunday lunch. The first Friday of every month is open mic night and is very popular with the locals.
Dangar island is full of wildlife. Many variety of birds and occasionally dolphins and turtles can be spotted. Enjoy a pleasant stroll around the island and along Bradleys Beach.
Just across the water from Dangar is Brooklyn. It has lots of nice restaurants and art and crafts shops.
Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the enchanting Dangar Island. The most common feedback we have had so far is 'We will definitely be back'

All bookings are for a minimum 2 night stay. A bond of $500 is required.

Children over 6 only. Dogs allowed.
Price is based on 2 guests. An extra $15 per guest applies for more than 2 guests per night.
Check in 1pm and check out 10am. Early and late check outs can be made where possible Please ask owner.

Response from the owner Thanks Georgina! Agree re the alcohol. Our guests certainly enjoy watching the sunset over the river with a glass of wine in the evening. Alcohol can only be purchased at certain times Thurs to Sunday from the bowlo. Some of our guests have gone over to the Marina in Brooklyn to buy supplies. Yes everyone leaves very relaxed.
