Description

Design b+b is a unique guest house located in Adjiringanor East Legon, Accra. Designed and built by architect Joe Osae-Addo, the house in a true gem in tropical modern architecture. We offer breakfast inclusive of the room and shared common spaces.

Space

Design b+b is unique. You will not stay in a similar space in Africa. The house is designed and built by architect Joe Addo in tropical modern style. Think a sustainable mix of LA/Helsinki/Accra with mudbrick, wood and a Bulthaup kitchen.

Guest access

Guest has access to their own room in the guest house, and the common areas in the main house, including living room, dining room and kitchen. Guests enjoy daily cleaning service and there is always someone around to look after you should you need anything. A cook is available on most days to make you lunch and dinner at affordable prices ($5-$10 a plate)! Guests can also enjoy in-house laundry service at reasonable rates. The guest room is equipped with wireless internet, hot water heater, fan and air conditioning.

Neighborhood overview

Adjiringanor and the surrounding East Legon is considered one of the best neighborhoods in Accra. It is a developing suburb and a residential area. KINDLY NOTE THAT THIS LISTING IS NOT IN THE CENTER OF TOWN AND ITS NOT NEAR OSU! Our guests have enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and the sound of birds in waking them up in the morning. If you want to be closer to Osu, please consider another listing. Close by are great restaurants (Thai House, Cahaya, Coco Vanilla, Honeysuckle) and A&C Square shopping center. Design b+b is located a short drive away from Accra landmarks (without/with traffic). Note that these are reasonable estimations based on safe driving! Traffic makes every trek longer, but I can help you to navigate to the city outside of peak traffic times. - A&C Shopping Center East Legon (5/10 minutes) - Accra Mall (15/30 minutes) - Airport (20/45 minutes) - Osu (30min/1 hour)

Getting around

Uber is very simple. Public transportation is also available. We have a Mercedes Benz for $120 per day and a Nissan Sentra for $80 per day. Driver included, fuel excluded. We can also arrange a Toyota self drive vehicle for GHS 150 per day. If you require airport pickup this can also be arranged. The cost for airport pick up is GHS 50. It is free for bookings over 2 nights.
