Description
Goldenbirds Homestay is a family-run homestay running since 2010 located 15 minutes walking distance from the famous tourist destination of Pokhara, Lakeside where people have the opportunity to learn about Nepalese culture, Food, local lifestyles, language, and other local experiences in typical Nepali Family Environment. In our Homestay, we try to give our sincere effort to give excellent customer service as per the requirements of our Guests in every problem. Our guests can jointly live with our family as family members and eat together without missing their home and their loved one. We are running four guest rooms with attached Bathrooms and one shared kitchen and we also have a lovely German Shepard ( Micky ) on our house to greet you.
Shanti is our main chef; she cooks the food as per your requirements but mostly she is very good at cooking Nepali food which will be an interesting experience for you as well during your stay in Pokhara. Dharma is helping you for welcoming you to the homestay and communicating your needs while staying in our Homestay. We are a simple Nepali family with our 2 sons Santosh ( Elder ) and Subodh( Younger) living in the same house with fun and love.
Besides the homestay, we have various things to do services, while your stay at Pokhara. We have an option for Homestay in a village of the Kaski district for those guests who want to know more about the Local lifestyle culture and traditions of the Himalayan Nation. You will enjoy the real rural life of Nepal when you spend time locally and will learn many new things about their lifestyle and it will be completely different experiences from the developed world which will be great fun and memories throughout your life.
Other than living locally, if you are passionate about making a difference to the rural local community and exchange the ideas and information’s that you are willing to share, we can arrange various volunteering programs available, like teaching any Languages to the school kids at both Government and Private Schools, you can also volunteer as a health professional at the Government Health clinics, sharing computer skills to the school kids and housewife’s and also if you want to share your modern agriculture tips and tricks we can connect you to the local farmers and farmhouses who are passionate to learn new information & technology from your expertise.

The Golden Bird's homestay has Student volunteers from all around the globe who comes from the different volunteering agency but, we also focus some guests who come to us from different OTA markets. We charge USD 12-15 per day which includes accommodation, 2 meals & tea, coffee. so this is not a hi-fi lodge and we generally give sharing room to our customer. We also have a homestay rule that our guests need to come around 10pm because this is not a hotel and we care our guests saftey and secutiry as well. You are leaving in a Nepali family and we have to setup the rules as you will be staying with our family. Extremely sorry if you feel this inappropriate. We have a wifi which have a resonable speed. I understand it is not comparable with the speed with other countries but we can get what the current technology is inside the country. Regarding the booking.com we are trying to fix the payment invoice because it is harder to pay this sort of invoice from Nepal banking system. We also have solar backup system for wifi to our home but sometimes we used to have loadshedding that's why you might get some problem. Have a great time. Kind regards Dharma
