Description
CONACUL MANTESCU is unique in this part of Romania as it's the only authentically restored traditional Romanian house, a labour of love of my ancestors who built it in 1916 using materials and architectural principles that our ancestors the people of Dacia used for millennia.
The property has immense historical, cultural, and architectural value (the Neo-Romanesc style – unique to this part of the world), as well as being located in one of the last surviving unspoilt natural landscapes with one of the most diverse flora and fauna in Europe.
There is a tremendous number of hiking opportunities as well as day trips to incredible landmarks, the nearest one being a pyramid shaped stone in the 1acre backgarden.This in itself is bordered by a majestic mountain wall that hides an old ancient man-made cave called the Stone Door and offers 360 degrees panorama of the whole area.

Response from the owner We are very grateful for your appreciation of this unique house with a magnificent setting. The last 10 miles to the location are not the best but not the worst I've seen in my country.2miles of these there is tarmac. It is a very remote location, so it pays its price. The good news is that once the water supply is commissioned, the local roads will finally get a suitable improvement and resurfacing all the way to the village where the house is. The tarmac will reach all the way to the village of Ruginoasa. I was reassured by the local authorities that this work is imminent, I am pleased to say. Thank you again for your review and if our country house left you some special memories, we are extremely happy!
