“Beautiful, clean villa near pubs and restaurants. Right near the beach.”
We stayed in this brand new villa for 2 weeks in August. We flew into Alicante and hired a car and it is about a 90 minute drive door to door (used google maps and the directions were quite good) Sue was there to meet us and showed us round. Everything in the villa is brand new and it showed. There is wifi that you have to pay for but it wasn't expensive at all. All the bedrooms and the living room have air con units and that was great. The bedrooms all have double beds which were comfortable. The plunge pool was great for us as it was very hot and we used it to cool off quite a bit. There is a small supermarket nearby but Lidl and Mercadona are an 8 minute drive away and have everything you need. The beach at one end is quite stony but there is a small cove by the Repsol garage which is both quiet and sandy. The water is clear and it is shallow for quite a distance. Puerta de Mazarron is about a 30 minute walk, which sounds a lot but there are bars along the way to stop for refreshments. The port is clean and busy with lots of different places to eat. For us we loved La Caleta and Bocapizza (the food at both was reasonably priced and good portion sizes) There is a road train that runs twice nightly 8pm and 10pm from by Sullys and takes you into the port or you could use a local taxi which costs about 9euros I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes peace and quiet on one hand but hustle and bussle if you want to venture out. (Sullys bar, La Proa, Bar Med and Cafebuenivista are all within walking distance and offer good food, snacks and drinks) The only thing the place needs is some baking trays, more tea towels, maybe more pillows and more bath towels but these are minor minor details. We will definitely be coming back if they'll have us. Thankyou Sue, Clive and Boys
