Description
The owners of the property may be staying in the apartment above the rented apartment for a few winter months each year.
The accommodation comfortably fits 4 people and boasts magnificent views of the Ocean and Martinique with Morne Pei behind us.
We have provided everything we think you need to ensure you have an easy relaxing time.
Our water supply is not from the mains but piped and filtered from a natural spring at the bottom of Morne Pei, fresh tasting and natural but we do not have the pressure for a power shower. Nor do we have a supply of hot water, an early morning shower will be invigorating but it can get warm mid afternoon.
After hurricane Maria this water supply was tested and found to be excellent. You may notice people carrying water back from the fishery to grand bay as it is preferred to the piped water.
Also at the present time we do not have a supply of hot water.
Guests will have access to the well stocked and maintained wrap around gardens and are welcome to take advantage of the fruits available when in season.
Guavas and sour sops in March and April and mangoes in June and July. Maria took the mature coconut trees.
Nadine can obtain local fruits if requested.
A working farm is close by for eggs, poultry and some fruits.
We also have a fishing community close by where tuna and maui maui (locally called Do ad or Dolphin) is usually available, listen out for the conch blowing and grab a plastic bag.
Due to the raised elevation of the house it is possible for a child to fall over the retaining wall or over the cliff face, therefore we suggest that the apartment may not be suitable for small children.
