“Girls Weekend 2019” The cabin was great; off the beaten path but still close to town. We had someone in a leg brace, so the steep stairs were a bit of a challenge, but we survived. Only complaint(s); no coffee or cream & sugar for the coffee pot, and the oven really needs to be cleaned (it smoked us out the one time we tried to use it). But I would recommend this place to friends and family. And I hope to return one day.

“Paradise found at The Cozy Cottage on Lake Travis!!!” Speaking for our entire family, I want to thank you for an amazing four day vacation/experience. Upon arriving at Living Waters, we were immediately drawn into the peaceful, inspirational environment that encompasses the "compound". "The Cottage" was perfect for the seven of us. After we arrived, we sat out on the back porch to admire our surroundings. Bethany arrived to give us some wonderful advice as to what to see and do in and around Spicewood. Her charm and enthusiasm immediately got us all excited about our next few days of activities. Our next activities were from Bethany and Travis's recommendations: visits to the Stone House and Spicewood Wineries and swimming at Krause Springs. I saved the best recommendation for last: The Friday night Tomato Happy Hour with Kathleen. We met so many wonderful "regulars" as well as the other two couples who were staying at Living Waters. It was a memorable experience. Kathleen is an amazing person. After I read her little book that was upstairs in the cottage, I couldn't wait to talk with her. She bonded instantly with our family and the children were taken in by her warmth and friendliness. Little Haynie hadn't come home by the time we left so Kathleen invited us to come back the next morning, bright and early, so that we could meet him. We set our alarms for 6:30 am and we were not disappointed. My grandson Evan (age 10) said that petting a deer was one of the most wonderful experiences he's ever had. We all decided that we wanted to have a pet deer of our own!!! Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to experience life in that little corner of heaven called Living Waters. Tammy and Jim Green; Keith, Carol, Audrey and Evan Green; and Savannah Warner

“A heavenly little retreat in paradise” Bethany and her husband have the perfect set-up in Lake Travis. A snuggly little cabin tucked away in the middle of nowhere is the ultimate mode of relaxation. It immediately felt like home and a vacation at the same time. Not only are they passionate about finding quality beauty in everyday things, but they also have the most wonderful story of following their passions. Please go, give it a try, and unwind! :)

“Living Waters in Spicewood TX” My girl friends and I booked the funky Blue Loft with the ladies weekend package upgrade for a quiet and relaxing bachelorette weekend. Everything exceeded our expectations! The wine tasting was wonderful, and both the massage and yoga classes were amazing. We also were very impressed with the effort Todd took to making sure everything was perfect for us. We will be coming back in the future!

“Personal Yoga Retreat” I booked a personal Yoga treat at Living Waters for my birthday to get away, de-stress, rest, and better my yoga practice. My stay at Living Waters far surpassed my expectations! The Romantic Red Room Eco-Cabin, was comfortable and quaint with modern amenities. I loved the natural light coming in and the ability to leave all the doors open to enjoy the ambiance of the hill country. Bethany, my yoga instructor was amazing!!! She catered my sessions to what I was specifically seeking to further my practice. I also received two Thai massages. . .Amazing! So beneficial for the body and just complimented what I was already receiving through my daily yoga practice. When walking the grounds you almost feel like you aren't in Texas, and the property is very close to many great local attractions. I highly recommend Living Waters and will definitely return myself!

“Perfect tranquility in the hills” It's easy to overlook great places like this - but this one offers great hospitality from the owners as well as a great location that was every bit as peaceful as it is beautiful. Myself and the other guests were impressed from the start with the cabin, from the homeliness of the interior to the thoughtful small details such as the provided iPod speaker dock, a set of movies, and reading materials. It's clear the owners take pride in the place, and are enthusiastic to share it with others. Pictures do not do this cabin justice, if you are looking for a place in the hills west of Austin, look no further!

About Marble Falls, Texas

Marble Falls' history dates back to 1887 when it was founded by Adam Rankin Johnson, a man who dreamed of turning Marble Falls into an industrial town. Following the construction of a railroad to Granite Mountain, the town grew and Johnson's dream was lived.

Marble Falls was the first town to have a woman mayor, Ophelia Crosby Harwood, who was appointed three years before women were even allowed to vote!

The name of Marble Falls came about because of the rock ledges that formed a waterfall, which was mistaken for marble! You won't be able to see the falls any more as they are now hidden beneath Lake Marble Falls.

Marble Falls is now a popular destination for tourists and it plays host to one of the United States’ largest drag boat races.

Enjoy home-style cooking at Blue Bonnet Cafe, and be sure to visit during "Pie Happy Hour"!

What to do

Marble Falls is the perfect location because of the lakes nearby that allow for boating, fishing, and camping. You'll also be able to go swimming at Krause Springs, a popular swimming hole.

Find out about the history of Marble Falls at The Falls on the Colorado Museum, where you'll be able to find historic photographs of the area.

Art lovers can enjoy features from local artists at Highland Arts Guild Gallery!

Enjoy a hike or picnic at Lakeside Park, which is also host to the Lakefest Drag Boat Races.

Why not rent a stand-paddle and go explore Lake Marble Falls? For something more adventurous, be sure to visit Hidden Falls Adventure Park which has trails for jeeps, dirt bikes and ATVs.

There's a quarry in Granite Mountain, and while you won't be able to enter (as it's still in operation), you’ll be able to see what's going on!

Top Marble Falls travel tips

You'll be able to access Marble Falls via Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

Thanks to the mild temperatures, no matter what time you visit, you'll be able to enjoy the outdoor activities. Make sure to pack sunscreen and good shoes for hiking!

You'll be able to visit Marble Falls at any time, but be aware that the busiest months are during the summer!

This relaxed town is perfect for families, solo travelers or if you're visiting with friends! With plenty to do, you won’t be bored... even if you plan on just relaxing at Lakeside Park! Find your Marble Falls vacation rental on FlipKey.
