Additional Location Information

Most buildings in Stara Moravica, including ours, date from the early 20th century and are constructed in the "Hungarian baroque" style of spacious residences with a farmyard and some land attached. It is a large village or small town (population around 5,000), situated between Subotica, Backa Topola and Sombor.
The village has shops, bars/cafes, a restaurant, playground, horse-riding, home-made ice-cream stall, swimming pool (June-Sept), a lake (boating, bird-watching, fishing), library with computers and printing, post-office and bank.

All amenities are 5-15 minutes walk (or a shorter cycle) from the house.

The land is flat and fertile. It is very good cycling country, and the house is equipped with 4 adult and 2 child bikes.

It is easy to reach by car from Hungary via Subotica or Bezdan, from Belgrade and Novi Sad via the E75 (exit Back Topola).
If travelling by train, alight at Backa Topola (Budapest-Belgrade trains stop here).
There are direct bus connections to Backa Topola, and to Subotica, Bajmok and Sombor. From Backa Topola there are several bus connections to Novi Sad and Belgrade.
