Description

The apartment is located in a rural area on the outskirts of Granadilla which is a quiet hill town located at about 650 metres and is only a 20 minute drive from the Tenerife Sur airport.

It is an ideal base for those that like outdoor activities such as walking or cycling in the mountains, but at the same time it is only a 20 minute drive from the coastal resort of El Medano which has a great relaxed feel to it and has a nice mix of visitors ranging from surfers, to Canarian families down from the capital, to retirees. For those that like a bit more happening you are only a 30/35 minute drive from the larger resorts of Los Cristianos & Las Americas.

Granadilla itself boasts 2 excellent restaurants (both within easy walking distance), one of which is currently ranked number 2 on the whole island on Tripadvisor.

Granadilla has a medium size supermarket which is open until 21.30 and a bread shop which is open 364 days per year.

The nearby town (15 mins. by car) of San Isidro has a number of larger supermarkets and plenty of shops where you can find anything you may need.

An atmospheric self-contained apartment on the second floor of a restored stone-built traditional Canarian style house. Access to the apartment is via a dedicated entrance from the street and an external stairway leading to the apartment.

Double doors open on to a south facing balcony with views down to the coast, and on clear days to Gran Canaria.

The apartment has terracotta tiles throughout and features a typical timber pitched roof, which lends an airy feeling to the apartment.

The bathroom has an excellent powerful shower.

The living room and kitchen is open plan. The kitchen has a fridge, microwave oven, electric hob, toaster and toasted sandwich maker, along with two types of coffee maker.

The living area has a large settee, which can be converted into a double bed if extra guests wish to make use of the room. For those winter evenings when there is a chill in the air, there is a wood-burning fire. A stock of wood is available at no extra charge.

The bedroom is a good size and features a super king size bed. Bed linen is changed after 7 nights. Bathrobes and slippers are provided. A small safe is available for your valuables.

The balcony has a table and 4 chairs and a parasol.

For your entertainment, a large DVD collection is available for your viewing pleasure should you require it. There is also a selection of board games.

Beach towels are provided so you can save some space in your suitcase.

In addition to use of the apartment's own south facing balcony, on request, guests may make use of a terrace with lounge furniture and barbeque. The terrace catches the last of the late afternoon/evening sunshine.

nteraction can be as little or as much as guests desire and we respect your privacy. We live in the ground floor of the house and so are available to give advice on seeing the island by car, nice walks, history, restaurants etc. should you wish it.

With regards to the "unpleasant interaction", unfortunately there was clearly a difference between our norms and yours with regards to respecting the home of someone else.
