“The Cottage at West 1077 = August 2013” We have stayed in Bandera almost every year since 1997 and this accomodation was by far the best we've ever experienced. A delightful, beautifully appointed cottage in the edge of the Hill Country State Natural area and just a short drive from the centre of 'The Cowboy Capital of the World'. The cottage boasts two bedrooms, a lovely bathroom, spacious lounge and even a well appointed kitchenette. The icing on the cake was the lovely porch complete with rocking chairs and table and chairs, perfect for watching the local wildlife and the sun set over the Hill Country. The owners, Mr & Mrs Kirchner, were really friendly, attentive and couldn't do enough for us. They ensured the cottage was topped up with fresh towels and made sure that our stay was as perfect as possible. All in all, we say without hesitation that we have found our Bandera 'home from home' and will visit again (and again)whenever we can. Thank you Mr & Mrs Kirchner, for letting us stay at your wonderful cottage!

“Relaxing place to call "home" and perfect location!” Leah and Roland were awesome! The home was stocked with everything we needed to cook a meal, and had a great deck to relax after a day at the beach. The bedrooms were so comfortable too! I loved the decor and the location. My family of 4 enjoyed the Rockport Beach and local restaurants nearby. We will be back soon!

“Paradise found at The Cozy Cottage on Lake Travis!!!” Speaking for our entire family, I want to thank you for an amazing four day vacation/experience. Upon arriving at Living Waters, we were immediately drawn into the peaceful, inspirational environment that encompasses the "compound". "The Cottage" was perfect for the seven of us. After we arrived, we sat out on the back porch to admire our surroundings. Bethany arrived to give us some wonderful advice as to what to see and do in and around Spicewood. Her charm and enthusiasm immediately got us all excited about our next few days of activities. Our next activities were from Bethany and Travis's recommendations: visits to the Stone House and Spicewood Wineries and swimming at Krause Springs. I saved the best recommendation for last: The Friday night Tomato Happy Hour with Kathleen. We met so many wonderful "regulars" as well as the other two couples who were staying at Living Waters. It was a memorable experience. Kathleen is an amazing person. After I read her little book that was upstairs in the cottage, I couldn't wait to talk with her. She bonded instantly with our family and the children were taken in by her warmth and friendliness. Little Haynie hadn't come home by the time we left so Kathleen invited us to come back the next morning, bright and early, so that we could meet him. We set our alarms for 6:30 am and we were not disappointed. My grandson Evan (age 10) said that petting a deer was one of the most wonderful experiences he's ever had. We all decided that we wanted to have a pet deer of our own!!! Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to experience life in that little corner of heaven called Living Waters. “Relaxing” we found the rental to be in an overall good condition. There was a slight problem with the refrigerator temp upon arrival, but it was addressed in the following days. There was a stain underneath door of fridge(looked like rust or fluid) I would come back to this location if it's available.

“A home away from home” We stayed in this log cabin last week for 5 days. This is a very beautiful cedar log cabin. We love the serenity and being with mother nature. Stella, the contact person was very helpful and very nice to us. She is very professional to deal with. The beds were very comfortable and they had a chest full of board games. We enjoyed playing the guitar as well. The lake was not too far. We enjoyed boating there, of course! If you're looking for a log cabin to stay for vacation or just to unwind, I will highly recommend this dream away cabin to give a try! Thanks!

“Peaceful Hill Country experience...” My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Bella Vista. The house is new, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. It takes a little while to get to it - country roads and across cattle guards - but you truly get what it would be like to live in the Hill Country. We saw deer and a magnificent storm that blew in on Saturday night. The breakfast consisted of kolaches, muffins, orange juice, coffee and some fruit. We'll keep Bella Vista on a short list of places that we'd like to visit again.

“A "Must" Place to Visit!” This new cottage is absolutely wonderful. It is very open and at the same time so cozy in a beautiful country atmosphere. The inside decor was unique and beautiful with a big flat screen TV over the mantel and wonderful kitchen. My husband, grandson (17), and son-in-law caught beautiful, huge bass in the lake behind the house, but released them all. If you ever get the opportunity and want a beautiful relaxing experience, this is a "must" place to visit! Jim and Paula archer were wonderful hosts and very helpful in every way.

“SoCo Studio is The Place !!!” We had a wonderful stay with Jana. She and Barkley(her precious dog) offered a comfortable, clean and amazing stay ! The backyard and deck area were fantastic! The shower was amazing(better than mine at home) and the fluffy towels were great! The studio is close to everything. Thanks Jana for the amazing stay and being such a lovely host !

“Unexpected gem in the piney woods.” This lovely cabin was a nice surprise. The cabin is set amongst tall pine trees and the scenery is just very relaxing and soothing. The interior is decorated beautifully and very comfortable. It's a great place for a romantic get away or for a family with kids that enjoy the outdoors.

“Perfect tranquility in the hills” It's easy to overlook great places like this - but this one offers great hospitality from the owners as well as a great location that was every bit as peaceful as it is beautiful. Myself and the other guests were impressed from the start with the cabin, from the homeliness of the interior to the thoughtful small details such as the provided iPod speaker dock, a set of movies, and reading materials. It's clear the owners take pride in the place, and are enthusiastic to share it with others. Pictures do not do this cabin justice, if you are looking for a place in the hills west of Austin, look no further!

“Living Waters in Spicewood TX” My girl friends and I booked the funky Blue Loft with the ladies weekend package upgrade for a quiet and relaxing bachelorette weekend. Everything exceeded our expectations! The wine tasting was wonderful, and both the massage and yoga classes were amazing. We also were very impressed with the effort Todd took to making sure everything was perfect for us. We will be coming back in the future!

“100% recommendable!” We tremendously enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was as promised, remote (but not very difficult to get to) , isolated from the daily assault of internet and cell phone services and surrounded by 100% beautiful nature with the Chinati mountains to north and the Sierra Madre to the south, both of which could be enjoyed in a panorama view from the spacious balcony. As for the cabin, don’t expect the sterility of a commercial rental. This is more like your best friend handed over the key to his cabin. We found the cabin clean and cosy and little by little discovered some gems on the bookshelves and in the CD rack. The bed was very comfortable and kept us warm even during cold winter nights. The wood stove kept the cabin warm during the day. Across the road is a simple resort called variously Chinati or Ruidosa Hot Springs. For $15 a person you can get a day pass with access to the “communal pool”, which has about as much charm as a fitness club hot tub, only it is not really hot but lukewarm. We did not bother. Hiking along the road rewards you with some spectacular views and the cabin itself has a cute winding trail of about 1 mile, which starts on the north side of the house (walk in the direction of the fence). All other roads and trails are private and unfortunately, there is no public access to the Rio Grande/Bravo anywhere close. So mostly, you get to enjoy the cabin, which was fine by us. 100% recommendable!

“Personal Yoga Retreat” I booked a personal Yoga treat at Living Waters for my birthday to get away, de-stress, rest, and better my yoga practice. My stay at Living Waters far surpassed my expectations! The Romantic Red Room Eco-Cabin, was comfortable and quaint with modern amenities. I loved the natural light coming in and the ability to leave all the doors open to enjoy the ambiance of the hill country. Bethany, my yoga instructor was amazing!!! She catered my sessions to what I was specifically seeking to further my practice. I also received two Thai massages. . .Amazing! So beneficial for the body and just complimented what I was already receiving through my daily yoga practice. When walking the grounds you almost feel like you aren't in Texas, and the property is very close to many great local attractions. I highly recommend Living Waters and will definitely return myself!
