Response from the owner Effectivement nous avons eu des problèmes avec l'eau de la piscine, elle était trouble et nous avons préféré ne pas rajouté de chlore ou autres produits agressif sur les conseils de la personne professionnel et responsable de l'entretien de notre piscine depuis plusieurs années, venu sur place au moment même! Ce que nous avons découvert est que nous avions loué la villa pour 8 personnes et en réalité ils étaient 11 personnes, donc 3 personnes en plus qui nous avait caché et qui n'était pas prévue dans le contrat de location, donc la villa n'était pas préparé pour ces 3 personnes, entre autres pas de lits. Nous l'avons découvert suite au tapage nocturne qui a dérangé nos voisins en pleine nuit. Grosse fête et musique à fond. Ils avaient même ramené deux grand haut-parleur. Nous nous sommes rendu sur place et avons constaté la triste réalité mais ça n’a pas suffit pour arrêter le vacarme. Ils on remis ça deux jours plus tard et effectivement on leurs a avertis que dans ces conditions on préférerait qu’ils quittent les lieux rapidement Nous nous sommes excusés auprès de nos voisins et comme ce n'était jamais arrivée en plus de six années, ils ont accepté nos excuses. Nous espérons que ça puissent éclaircir toutes les personnes concernées ou intéressé à savoir la réalité.

“Perfect villa! Stunning location!”
We have just returned from Villa Mary-Lou and cannot recommend it highly enough! It is an exceptional place in a breathtaking setting with endless views. We were a family of 6; my husband and I, our two children of 12 and 11 years and my parents and we all loved it equally. The owners Sarah and Marc have thought of everything and were so kind and helpful whilst giving us privacy too. They were on hand via WhatsApp if we had any questions. Marc met us in Trapiche and we followed him up the mountain to the villa. It is reached up a windy mountain road but we soon got used to this and it was only 10 mins up. The beaches were only 20/25 mins away too and there were fab shopping centres and supermarkets only 15/20 mins away. Sarah and Marc showed us around the villa and showed us how to work things. They were very welcoming and relaxed. It was a lovely touch to leave us a jug of freshly made sangria in the fridge as well as orange juice and chocolate milkshake for the children, a beautiful potato tortilla, cheese and olives!! The villa is spotless and everything has been thought of. We found it a real home from home. The kitchen is very well equipped with even a nespresso maker, percolator and slow cooker, as well as the usual gadgets. There were soaps in the bathrooms and toilet rolls and lots of herbs and spices in the kitchen. The rooms were light and airy and the aircon and fans worked well in the heat We had wall to wall sunshine whilst there and spent lots of time in the pool cooling off. It’s a fabulous sized pool and the children loved it. There’s also many areas of well thought out shade around the grounds under parasols, pergolas and canopies and often a nice breeze up the mountain too. There were many pool toys and inflatables, ball games, table tennis and badminton to keep us busy and we really enjoyed playing pétanque in the evenings in a lovely area at the side of the house. There was a pool table and gym in the house and a darts board outside too. We spent hours marvelling at the changing views and saw lots of wildlife too like chameleons, mantis, dragonflies, Eagles, bee eaters and hoopoes. We enjoyed watching the goat man take his herd up The hillside each day too. The villa is in a peaceful area but does not feel isolated as there are villas not too far away but far enough that you are not overlooked or disturbed. We visited Nerja and Maro beach and went kayaking from there. We did a fabulous walk up the Río Chillar and along the mountain from the beautiful Canillas des Aceituno. There was loads to do and see at Torre Del Mar and the children enjoyed the sea inflatable. There’s a nice evening market along the promenade too. We enjoyed the Aquavelis water park too.
