Description
This is a freestanding garage that has recently been converted into a lovely and spacious studio apartment, tastefully decorated with artifacts found, and redeemed from the beach across the road. There is no need to rent a car if you choose this studio. It is located just two short blocks from the ferry where you can find taxi's that will take you around the island. There is a rocky Ocean shoreline on two sides of the unit, great for beach combing and sunsets or watching surfers. Town is three blocks west. You will find provisions, restaurants, and gift shops in the town. The neighborhood is pleasant, authentic, well established and compiled of fishermen with a couple other guest houses.
The studio features;
1) a fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, stove, sink, microwave, dishes, pots & pans, utensils and an eating counter that easily seats 4
2) a visiting area with a couch, love seat, chair, coffee table, and books
3) a sleeping area that will sleep 4 guests in two new beds with pillow tops. The beds are side by side in the room.
4) a bathroom with a shower towels, toiletries
5) a wall safe
6) a private entrance

“Great for early morning ferry transfers”
Proximity to the ferry is amazing. The owner is courteous too. However, the place needs updating. Its very dated and can use a lot of updates.

“Great stay!”
Absolutely charming suite! The owner is extremely thoughtful and welcoming. Appreciated the welcome packet and close proximity to the ferry. Just the right distance from the bustle of town.

“Great accommodations!”
My family and I had a great time here! When getting here, we missed our original boat to get to the island and couldn’t get our rental car in time. D’Arla, the hostess, helped us get our car in time, which was really kind and helpful! We were also planning on booking this place with our family friends, but there were no places left for them to stay the night. D’Arla helped our friend get a place right next to us. However, our friend’s flight got cancelled and couldn’t make it to the island. Our friend was able to get a full refund due to the D’Arla’s kindness. The place is beautiful and is right next to the ocean. Despite the house having no air conditioning, my family still slept wonderfully. The house is equipped with a lot of fans and there is a little bit of the ocean wind blowing in. The whole place is very peaceful and very quaint. There were also a lot of cute stray cats around! Overall, this was a great experience from the house to the host. I highly recommend!!
