Fully furnished, spacious 3 bedroom/ 2 bathroom house with all amenities including hot/ cold water, available for short term / long term stay.

Each bedroom sleeps two guests. The website quotation is based on two guests sharing a bedroom. If each guest requires a separate room, or you have a specific requirement, please request a new quote from the host.

During your stay, no other party or guests will be accommodated in the rooms not booked by you. Any bedrooms not booked will not be accessible, but you will have access to the rest of the house and garden, giving you total privacy.

Master bedroom with ensuite and air conditioning, and the other 2 bedrooms with air conditioning. All other areas non AC. All 3 bedrooms and Living/ Dining area, fitted with ceiling fans. Friendly onsite caretaker.

Conveniently located at the Gateway to the South near the new bridge Panadura and only 26 km from Colombo. Walking distance to the Panadura town, supermarkets and shops, Base Hospital, river, and a short drive to the beaches. Just a short stroll to local restaurants and cafes overlooking the river, bus stop on Galle Road and local shops . 15 minute drive to the Gelanigama entrance to the Southern Expressway.

Large and airy lounge/ sitting room opening out on to a spacious verandah with a BBQ, overlooking a tranquil garden. Fitted pantry with full cooking facilities, 4 burner gas cooker and electric oven, refrigerator, dish washer and microwave. Equipped with external security alarm system.

Free fast wifi/ internet access (fiber) and satellite TV. Linen and towels provided. Serviced weekly or as per request. Washing Machine and Iron, limited capacity Standby Generator available.

“Beautiful & Affordable!”

Overall this beautiful property is great to stay long & enjoy. Simultaneously this property definitely needs UPGRADING and assure 100% PRIVACY of the guests. The garden in the photos looks lovely, but in REALITY it has lost lot of that beauty, it’s mostly lawned now. The cement wall & the front gate were not that tall & 1 side of the front fence & the back garden rear fence were wire fences only, the front wire fence only has bushes to cover it for privacy but not for the back rear wire fence. We were in a way deceived by the photos! Therefore, those old photos must be updated to show today’s real status of the garden/walls/veranda & all corners of the property! The caretaker Velu lives in the same property with us outside in a room in the garage where the washing machine is, he looked after all our needs & generously provided us whatever grows in the garden-breadfruit & coconuts were great! The property manager Chaminda lives next door was helpful & runs to our property uninvited to chat about matters in person. Note the manager has direct side access from his neighboring house into this property. If you want 100% privacy in the property then you must tell him STRICTLY not to enter your property unless you call him for any help! The heat in this house is unbearable & ACs are only in the bedrooms, the lounge has just a single slow roof fan kills you! It definitely needs AC, same as veranda needs fixing few speedy wall fans, else one can’t sit & enjoy the beauty of the nature at any time, especially in the evening when the mosquitoes come! We only open 1 lounge window for the entire house with a closed curtain throughout fear of mosquitoes & flies & closed it at 4pm else mosquitoes will suck our sleep all night! The kitchen is large, modern & has most of the things there to cook & serve. But some of the kitchen utensils are useless. We stopped using the white pans in the kitchen immediately as they are not healthy at all to cook & eat as they quickly burn the food & spread smoke everywhere, so we had to buy our own utensils. Chaminda’s mother also provided us few good pots & pans. Also we bought a laundry bin etc.. Light switches are in odd places throughout this house! Those for the lounge were far away from front entrance, so for an emergency or after a night out one must walk searching for switches, very annoying & scary to walk into the dark. We had a family gathering during our stay, the children & the elderly thoroughly enjoyed their time & the space here.

Some excerpts: “Thank you for the beautiful house and large green garden, also for your kind hospitality during our stay. We enjoyed our time staying here………” “During the pandemic this house would be anyone’s first choice, it truly kept us happy and sane during lockdown!” What we have advertised is a holiday home, not a hotel. 1. The front wall is 6 feet high and anything higher will suit only a fortress or prison. It provides adequate privacy and security for our guests. The fences are equally high and have been covered by foliage and flower creepers to enhance the beauty of the garden. I am sorry that you were not satisfied with our beautiful garden, which you would not find in every holiday home. All of our previous guests have commented on how well kept and beautiful our garden is, saying that the photographs do not serve justice to how beautiful it actually is as per previous reviews on VRBO. It has been maintained to the same standards if not better. 2. The property description clearly indicates that only the bedrooms are air conditioned. The long French windows that open out to the garden, brings in plenty of fresh air into the lounge and we do not wish to spoil it by enclosing it and air conditioning the whole place. SL is a tropical, humid country, and we cannot guarantee mosquito free spring weather, as much as we would like to. 3. We have indicated in our correspondence with you, that the caretaker lives onsite whose living quarters are attached to the garage and accessible from outside. 4. We provide a clean, decent, beautiful place that many guests have enjoyed (as per other reviews) and have no need to upgrade to another level of extravagance resulting in having to revise the modest rates we charge. 5. If you had an issue with the Manager coming over offering assistance, or were dissatisfied with our property to the extent listed here, I wish you contacted us immediately, without waiting till the end of your stay for us to find out through this review. Like previously, when your husband had to cancel your booking at the last minute due to Covid, we would have happily refunded the balance rent so you could have found your ideal holiday accommodation. We are glad that your family & guests enjoyed our property.
