Description
Beautifully converted 150-year-old farmhouse with the aim of maintaining the rustic style, which is so typical for Gozo farmhouses, but combining this with modern comfort. It comprises a total area of 350 m2 with a sitting room, large dining/living room with dining table and sofa, partly open kitchen and toilet/washing room at the ground floor.The kitchen has all amenities and the wash room contains a washing machine. Wide doors give easy access to a spacious garden with a 30-m2 pool, pool shower, barbecue, gazebo and garden furniture, overlooking the fields. A classical stairs with skylight leads to the second floor with 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 luxury bathrooms, of which one is en-suite. Two bedrooms have double beds, one has two singles. Two of the bedrooms have balconies, offering nice views over the fields/part of town. All furniture is first class pine. The house is well furnishing with a combination of classical pine and rattan. AC in Master bedroom, ceiling/standing fans and electrical heating are installed , as well as a free Wireless network ( code protected) with full property coverage.We are licensed by the Maltese Tourist Authority (MTA).

We haven't had comments sofar regarding missing toilet paper , soap etc. as guests always find it there.Indeed very inconvenient if the first thing you have to do is to rush out to buy such basic supplies... “Good location for village”
The property is in a good place for a short walk to the town sqaure. Which has some great places to eat. DVenue is always our favourite. This is our 3rd year visiting Gozo but the 1st time we have rented a house. The property was mostly clean and well presented. The kitchen needs a deep clean and the filter coffee machine was full of mouldly coffee. There was also dishes on the draining board not put away. We have rented in other places before and never had that. The oven despite following the instructions when trying to light it gave my husband a nasty burn. So we didn't bother to try to use it again. The bbq was fine for the 2 of us. I think the kitchen is ok for 2-4 people but I wouldn't want to prepare a meal for any more than that as it is very small. The furniture in the house is adequite but nothing more than that and some more comfotabke seating in the t.v area might be nice. The Garden area is really lovely with the gazebo at the end for some shade and the evening illumination is really pretty. On our last morning we were prepared to leave at 9am to head for the boat we had until 10am to leave but we felt rushed out as the cleaning lady arrived at 8.30. I feel that maybe on checkout days the housekeeper could have waited until we had gone. We truly enjoyed our stay on Gozo as we both love the island, would I stay in this house again probably not as there are better appointed propertys for a similar price.

As you know a house with a nice garden isn't easy to find in this price range in Gozo. Pity that your stay was overshadowed by cleanliness issue's. The lady that does the cleaning has been doing so for the last 17 years (!) and we are sorry to hear that you found her intrusive on your day of departure. Obviously we have contacted her regarding your observations and actually there was no reason for her to come that early as the next guests only arrived the following day. The kitchen is being cleaned by her helper and it appears some more coaching is required there. Your remark on the TV seating area is very valid and we have been struggling to find an adequate solution for that ! We will again stay at the house in the week after next and try to work a suitable lay out.The oven indeed needs replacement , as more guests have had similar problems. We will do so before end of this year. Again thanks for your comments as it helps us to further improve ! Frans

“Beautiful house in great location”
We spent 5 nights at Arzella and really enjoyed our time there. The pretty little village of Xaghra is very laid back, has a couple of good restaurants and is only a 5 minute drive down to Gozo's best beaches. The house itself is spacious and has everthing you need including a lovely pool and gardens for those days you dont fancy the beach. Would definitely recommend for groups of friends or familys.
