This villa will keep you saying wow! After undergoing a total remodel, Le Caprice is back and it is gorgeous!! From its privileged elevated site on a promontory above Baie Rouge in Terres Basses, Le Caprice enjoys not only extraordinary 270 degree water views but also has direct access to the beach below via its own private garden pathway.
This 7-bedroom, 7-bath villa has recently been completely remodeled and combines traditional French Caribbean architecture on the outside with the comfort and convenience of modern interiors. A large blue mosaic- lined infinity pool provides the centerpiece for the main terrace and overlooks both the Caribbean Sea and the Simpson Bay Lagoon with Dutch side St. Maarten in the distance. The terrace is paved with stone and hardwood decking surrounds the pool with elegant sun loungers for sunbathing. A spacious poolside gazebo provides a plush outdoor living space with plenty of shade from the sun and the ideal spot in the evenings to view the beautiful Caribbean sunsets. A second covered area equipped with a gas BBQ and wet bar provides alfresco dining and a beautiful sea view.
From the terrace, traditional wooden shutters provide beautiful sea views to the large ground floor contemporary living space with parquet flooring throughout, which includes a TV viewing area equipped with an oversized couch and Samsung widescreen TV and a large chic dining area with seating for 10. The separate, brand new kitchen features slate gray and white cabinetry with granite countertops, a breakfast bar with Tribu bar stools and high-quality appliances including a Miele induction cooktop and two Liebherr refrigerators and separate wine cooler.
Three of the seven king-size bedrooms are situated in the main house: two on the ground floor and a third bedroom can be found on an upper level accessed from a staircase leading from the living area. The fourth bedroom has exterior access from the terrace at the rear of the house, and the fifth bedroom also has an independent entrance just below the pool terrace. Each bedroom has air-conditioning, ceiling fans, TVs and en-suite baths with luxurious rain showers and designer fittings.
The Master Cottage is completely separate from the main house surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and has a large private seafront terrace equipped with a hot tub and outside shower and swing seat. The bedroom’s en-suite bath has double vanities and a large, open rain shower and separate his and her toilets and bidets. There is a large walk-in closet and the bedroom opens out to the terrace via large glass sliding doors. Next to, but further back from the Master Cottage is the seventh bedroom which has an ensuite bath, a siting area and balcony with lovely ocean views.
Beautiful lush gardens filled with tropical flowers surround the property, lining the driveway and the verdant pathway down to the beach.
Le Caprice enjoys complete privacy due to its elevated site yet is still within easy access to the beach and only a short driving distance to shops and restaurants.
