When we arrived to the house it was very clean, it had brand a new sponge and paper towels ready for us. There were detailed instructions and all the basics we needed for the weekend. It was the perfect get away for me and my boyfriend and our two fluffy puppies. It was close enough to everything so it wasn't much of a drive to get things from the grocery store, but still far enough to have peace and quiet. I would definitely come back to stay at this humble little abode. There are plenty of places to go hiking as well as fun places to go eat. I recommend the Cowboy Steakhouse! It's not far from the house and it has the "Worlds Tiniest Sunday"! How can you say no to that!
A perfect writers getaway.

Quiet, relaxing and cozy! Easy to find and I guess depending on the time of year, my visit being in March. Will be using Cool Cabin rentals again soon!
Would definitely stay here again

This cabin is really really nice. Definitely small, but was perfect for me, my husband, and our 20 pound dog (the dog did have some trouble with the spiral staircase so we carried him up and down a lot). I do wish it was closer to the lake area of town, rather than the residential area. But, it is only about 10 minutes into the main part of town. My only other complaint is that you have to take your own trash to the dump and clean your own dishes. Something like that I would have assumed would be part of the cleaning fee (which is pretty high). Still, none of these issues would prevent us from staying there again. Very cozy and very relaxing.

This was the perfect little place for the two of us and our two little dogs. The cabin was clean and ready for us when we got there. It had everything we needed for a nice relaxing weekend in Big Bear. I liked that it wasn't too close, yet too far from the village and the craziness of things and it was right on the edge of the wilderness so we could do some hiking. The neighborhood was small and quiet. The fireplace was nice and the loft was cute. The only thing I would improve on would be the pillows, which is a pretty small thing to pick on. I would not reccomend this cabin to anyone with bad knees due to the spiral staircase. All in all, we had an absolutely amazing time, and so did our dogs. Thank you, we plan making this our yearly destination.
perfect quite getaway

Excellent little get away. The cabin had everything you could need and more! Very quite and comfy. Only downside would be you have to dispose of your own trash at another location, meaning you have to load up your car with trash and dump it yourself a few miles away. I would think for as much money I spent for 4 nights, trash should be included.

My boyfriend and I wanted to get out of la for a few nights, so we rented the a-Frame of Mind. Could not have had a better time! The cabin was so comfortable and quaint, small enough to be cozy but more than big enough to accommodate our needs. The fully stocked kitchen had everything we needed and was perfectly clean. Can't wait to go back!

We had the best weekend in the cozy little cabin. This place is perfect for a couple. Any more than that would be a tight squeeze. We could have used a little more direction from the Cool Cabins people. It was very difficult to find the key at the cabin. This cabin may not be great for anyone with bad knees because the spiral staircase to bed is very steep. This was such a cute cabin with a coffee maker, television and a fireplace. The bed isn't the comfiest but was totally fine:)
