Simple, inviting, and cozy cabin for your mountain getaway. Two bedroom. one bath cabin with a wood burning fireplace, cable TV, DVD player, and full kitchen with stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, pots/pans, and more. Fenced back yard with a charcoal barbecue and lots of space for family gatherings. Spacious front parking for three cars.
Bedroom one has a queen bed.
Bedroom two has a double bed.
Walking distance to the National Forest, ski slopes, and golf course. Maximum occupancy 4. Parking for 2 vehicles.

The place is clean but I was a little disappointed on how small the place is. The kitchen is nice and equipped. The beds in both room are not comfortable at all so we were not able to get a good rest and sleep. Location is nice, near the snow summit. I will rent again from Cool Cabin but will look for another place.

Me and my kids had a great or like they described it awesome X-mas vacation! We had a great time here the cabin was so cute n cozy just like in the pictures or better... Everything we needed was in the cabin ready to be used. It was clean loved the fireplace, we had a great time here and we will b back in the end of january with friends. Thank you!!

It was cozy for a small family . We spend a lot time outside on the back patio cooking a great BBQ . I would stay again .

Stayed there this past weekend (1/21/12). Cabin has a great front/back yard. Very easy parking. Nice porch front/back. Inside is very small. The fireplace is not a real fireplace its more like an old oven, doesnt work very well to heat the room. The front door doesnt lock. The front door is also not sealed properly so the cold air comes right in. The heater is only in 1 bedroom, so the rest of the cabin stays freezing cold. There is no door on the 2nd bedroom. The kitchen faucet did not work (no water in the kitchen). Shower is tiny. Very poor indoor lighting. Cabin doesnt seem to be well kept. Wont stay here again. Not worth more than $100 a night.

The service was wonderful, the woman who checked us in was friendly and the information complete. The house was clean, the kitchen stocked with all needed cookware, and more than enough room for my family of 4. The house was located really close to Bear Mountain, so that was a plus. The only negatives were that the heater was in one bedroom so in order for the rest of the house to stay warm, it was really, really, warm in that bedroom. The living room had a wood-burning stove, not a fireplace, and some of our wood did not fit.

Service was excelent. House was nice and enought equiped. Location was excelent and near to mountain where our kids can slide down just one block away.
As I said aboove, We felt unsecure and we were carryng our passports and money because the house had just one lock in each door kind interioer door lock device)
One day we made a Snowman at the front, went to Vons and when return found some kids from left house ( East of ours) that were destroying it.That make us think, who ever can go in the back yard, force the lock and nobody will notice.Response from Big Bear Cool Cabins - 01/17/2012

This Cabin is very Cute & Fun to stay in. Very nice backyard and spacious front yard. We are return customers of Big Bear Cool Cabins and of Nicole's Happy Place Cabin and we appreciate the owners making this cabin available for us to rent. We also appreciate the good service from the staff at Big Bear Cool Cabins. We look forward to a return stay in the near future.

This cabin is well-situated and nicely appointed in the "cabin-style" sense. The kitchen is nicely upgraded and the dining table even accomodated friends over for dinner. The back yard is really spacious with two picnic tables, but I'm not sure why as the place can only sleep 4 at the very most. There were just a couple of things lacking that would have been appreciated for a family of four. There were only two armchairs in the very small living area (a couch would have been nice, but probably wouldn't have fit); and there was no door on the bedroom that adjoined the living room (so we had to whisper when one of our kids went to bed as this room also had the smallest double bed which would not accomodate my giraffe size husband and me). The second one was a real bummer. Overall though I'd go back if they could actually put a door on the bedroom! However, as far as Cool Cabins goes, we were promised two bundles of firewood for booking via FlipKey. We obviously assumed this firewood would be in the house, ready for us. Well it wasn't. We got in a little late and had to put the kids to bed. We assumed we could warm the house with the heater, but there is only one space heater in one of the bedrooms. Needless to say, the rest of the house was absolutely freezing. Cool Cabins said we could come and pick up the wood that night ... really?? We now have to drive back to their office and pick up two bundles of wood? We didn't appreciate that at all. So, don't count on them following through with the offer they promise on this website. I even called them to confirm, and included this note re promise of two wood bundles in my reservation form. So, it really made our first night uncomfortable. Other than that, everything else was fine. Nothing over-the-top though. Just fine.

The house was nice, well located, but in the description says plenty of cozy blanket, however, we do not find any, it was cold, and we didnt spend the pacefull night that we dream off! apart that, the house is great! but they should tell us about that, we were with small kids, not that nice to be cold during the night!. If they really put in the blanket everythings could be perfet!

We are provided with only one thin quilt cover for both queen and full bed. It was very cold for the two nights we stayed there. Luckily we brought our own sleeping bags, but still it was cold at night at the cabin.
