A home away from home! The cabin is beautiful, cozy and a perfect place for some r&r;! It's spacious and has complete amenities. We always go to Big Bear every year and i'm thinking of getting this cabin again. The only problem we had was the microwave not working, but all in all, I'll give 5 star for this cabin!

Culver City, CAHad a blast with a few minor glitches.
Left on 01/11/2012 for a stay in January 2012
We were originally concerned with the cleanliness after reading a former review but this place was immaculate. We checked in and there was no coffee maker to be found. When we called the office they told us they would bring us one. After 4 1/2 hours and repeated phone calls they did bring us a brand new one. Awesome! There were two microwaves in the kitchen - neither one of them worked. So much for the microwave popcorn we had brought up with us - snicker, snicker. Some of the lightbulbs were out in the dining room and we couldn't find spare replacements. Parking at the unit was a total disaster because the parking spots were iced over. It took us about 10 attempts each time and we just dreaded coming back with groceries for fear we would fall and crack something vital. Other than than everybody had a blast and that included we grandparents, our 40-year old children and 4 out of 5 of our grandchildren. It is literally walking distance to the lifts and that sure came in handy because everybody skied and lugging all our equipment from the unit was really rather easy. Other than some minor glitches I would highly recommend this place.

The place was clean and nice. Best part was the distance to the slope. No parking hassel.

Left on 12/29/2011 for a stay in December 2011
This place was a few steps away from the lift which is why I chose this cabin. If your only concern is getting to ski/snowboard then this place is highly recommended. We didn't have to worry about parking and we could take a break for lunch and walk right to the cabin. Overall the place was clean even though the pillows had stains and spots on them and there was a pretty funny odor throughout the cabin. It did have internet which was a surprise because it was not listed.

Left on 07/14/2011 for a stay in July 2011
I would say this is the most dirtiest place we even stayed in. The place was smelly and not only that but they didnt vacum and also stains on wall and towels. Very nasty. I cannot imagine how the bed was because we never slept in after all the other nasty things. We booked room for 2 nights but end up leaving in the moring as soon as they open so we can get our refund back. We were not satisfy and are not planning to stay with coolcabins in the future.

The check-in was very easy. When getting to the cabin we were able to find everything we needed to cook and to feel comfortable. One of the things that wasn't so great was that the cable was not working. Good thing they had videos that we were able to watch. The heater was great, the bed sheets were clean and warm, the lighting was perfect. We all felt that it was an amazing place to stay at. We would stay here again!

After reading a few other reviews about Big bear cool cabins I was a little worried about renting from them, but I really liked the pictures of the House so I just went with it. And I'm really glad I did.So after driving up to big bear we found the Big bear cool Cabin office, to my surprise the staff were really friendly and helpful not at all rude like other reviews had said. So upon arriving to our cabin it was really easy to find and right down the road from Snow summit, like right down the road (we just walked to the resort)! That was great. Also it is really close to shops and restaurants, you could walk but we drove because it was cold and close to the roads so driving would be safer. One thing the web site said was that we would have to bring our own snow shovel for the drive way and that's one thing we had forgotten. But to my surprise again the cabin had two big shovels that came in handy, for our drive way was full of snow. As for the cabin it was very very spacious. It looked exactly like the pictures and which I was very happy. The cabin came with a lot of amenities that I didn't think it would come with. There was a brand new bottle of hand soap in both bathrooms, little bottles of shampoo and conditioner ( just like the hotels have) a little bag of detergent for washing clothes, towels, washcloths and even dish towels in the kitchen. There were tons of blankets so everyone kept warm. Everything worked great the electric the fireplace and the heater. The only con That i could think of is that there's carpet all over the house so its a little dirty. So to sum it up, this a great place to rent and I'll be renting it again for my next ski trip. And also the renting company Big bear cool cabin is great too...
