The temperature was perfect getting away from the arizona heat! The two rentals together worked out great for our extended family. Everyone loved the location as they were located right on a small cove. The place was roomy, kind of worn, but exactly what we were looking for with our group.

Our family really enjoyed this home, it was in a great location, but keep in mind parking was limited. It was in a quiet area and in a great area of the lake.

We were five couples and our little kids who stayed here for two nights. We chose these cabins for their prime location on the lake and the fact they could accommodate us all at the last minute. The paperless check-in system was great and the service desk was very helpful, but the cabins could stand a major remodel on the inside. Everything is in good working condition but very dated. We did not have adequate heat in two of the bedrooms in the larger cabin. Also, one of the toilets overflew onto the carpeted bathroom floor the first night. The good news was once we called the toilet in it was repaired quickly and the carpet was vaccumed but there was nothing to do for the heating system except for quadruppling the blankets. Overall, it was a silghtly less than fair value for the amount we paid. I would stay here again only if it is remodeled. Read more
Thank you for your response to our survey. These cabins are a little dated. The owner has put in new stoves and refrigerators in both cabins. These units are are both lake fronts and priced well for Big Bear accomodations.

We liked the location of the home the best. We had some cleanliness issues with the beds and the whole house. The refrigerator and the ovens need to be changed because they were in bad shape. There was a problem with hot water, lamps not having bulbs, spider webs, and the air ducts need to be cleaned. Read more
Thank you for your response to our survey. This unit is really 2 houses side by side. New refrigerators and stoves were placed in both houses. All the lamps have working bulbs. Again, thank you for your reply to our survey. Both the units now have new refrigerators and stoves.

My family and I recently stayed here for two nights in January 2010. First of all, we checked in and the staff seemed clueless to simple questions that I asked about the two units we rented. I received a single key, and knowing that we were to occupy two separate units I requested a second key, only to be told that the same key would work. Although I had my doubts, we left and just as suspected, the key opened one of the units only. My husband drove all the way to the rental office to get a key that would open the other unit. Under normal circumstances this would have not been such a hazzle. Unfortunately, traffic was awful and a ten minute drive turned into 45 minutes, not something you want to waste time on during vacation. Secondly, the shower tub in the master bedroom was DISGUSTING!!! There was a ring of filth/scum all around it and hair and scum cought on bath tub drain. Finally, make sure you dont forget anything because you will not get it back! Our friend forgot her camera charger and battery; she called several times to inquire and every time she called, she was told they would call herback , but never received a return call. After insisting for several days, she was told that the items were not found. I doubt anybody made any effort!! We are considering finding another rental service when we visit Big Bear. On a more positive note, the units are spacious and have beautiful views!
Great lakefront property for large groups

We stayed at the two houses for the Thanksgiving weekend. Both houses are good, clean, roomy, ideal for big groups. Also great for fishing since it is a lakefront. We will most likely rent this house again. I recommend the property for 12+ parties. Please note, these are 2 detached properties, completely separate homes in a lot. The picture may be misleading since it does not show the houses side by side.
Our experience was great, especially when it snowed.

Rented both homes for a company retreat, and loved it! There coudl have been more pictures online to see each bedroom, so we could have assigned them before we left, but all was really cool.
