Our family trip to Big Bear this summer was great. Our rental is located in the middle of all activites that we wanted. The accomadations were just right for nine people. We also took our dogs and they enjoyed the enclosed fenced yard and we didn't have to worry about them. I do have a few things that I would like to address, the steps are killers if you are not used to climbing stairs. So be sure that everyone can climb stairs, we survied, next the linen in the game room was soiled, I took extra linens so we took care of that, and last the deck area needed some cleaning up. We cleaned it up and enjoyed it very much having coffee in the mornings and enjoying reading a book or just looking at the great lake view. For the money that we paid I believed the only thing that I was not pleased with was that the deck could have being in better condition.

This is a beautiful home that has been lovingly decorated and has great cabin themes throughout. It is wonderfully close to the village and lake. We especially appreciated the housekeeping touches and extra towels. The few problems we have appear fixable. The towel rack was not anchored into the wall and tore out when a towel was taken from it, which should be easily fixed but we saw that this was likely not the first time it happened. The dishwasher sometimes caused water to come out of the faucet connection, so they should check and maybe replace the carpet near the sink in case it has mold from being flooded regularly. The biggest issue was the hot tub which sometimes had an electrical problem and shut off. However, despite these small annoyances that were easily dealt with, the cabin was a joy and everyone said it was their best trip to Big Bear ever. The kitchen was well stocked with great cooking gear, the grill was so easy to use, and the location cannot be beat. The deck is fantastic and was a great place to hang out with our group. We had one small problem with the check-in when we were given the wrong key, but the customer service when we reported the problem was good. We would definitely rent here again, but would love the hot tub problem to be fixed first.

We had a great time and the house was perfect! Very comfortable and clean, close to everything. Not a place for those out of shape or sporting an injury...the stairs are steep but the place is well worth the effort.

This property exceeded my already high expectations. The pictures just do not do it justice! Its very cozy and decorated in a true mountain cabin feel, with a large great room for entertaining. The location was prime! Our family had a wonderful stay and would try and rent this cabin again, if there is an opportunity.

This vacation home was just as represented - large, very well kept, comfortable beds, large kitchen, plenty of plates, glasses, cups and utensiles, great jacuzzi and a perfect sledding hill adjacent to the home! Definitely within walking distance of the village - less than a mile. The only minor issues: key for front door wouldn't open the game room/4th bedroom in the garage, but maintenance came up and opened it for us, coffee pot is tiny makes only about 3 cups per pot which isn't enough for 4 or more adults - but those are the only negatives I can think of! Tip - bring large trash bags as kitchen trash can is small and fills up quickly - it will make disposal at the end of your stay much easier as the dump sites are outside of town.

We arrived 1/22/2010, and couldnt get into our place, the road wasnt plowed. The police were not letting anyone up Paine rd. Big bear vacations did not give us another place to stay as they promised in their email they would. So we were forced to stay in an hotel with only one room left so we all had to share the room that night. Finally at 4pm the next day 1/23/10 the city plowed the road and we could at least get the 4x4 in. The driveway was never plowed as promised by BB Vacations. And We had to take shovels clear the steps and the front door. Took several of us and 3 hours later we finally got in. We never could go down to the game room/xtra bedroom. Snowed in. Had to shovel out the spa to use too. This was alot of $$ to spend and alot of work when we did not experience the whole cabin. I really feel they should have given us more of a refund. Thankyou, Lynn Sileski

We had a large group of 10 and stayed in Big Bear for a long weekend. We could not have been happier with this cabin! The rooms were beautiful, the kitchen was huge and large enough to cook for everyone, the hot tub was ready to go when we got there....everything was perfect. The location could not be any better....far enough away from the main road that it's private and quiet, but just a few minutes walk to Starbucks and the beginning of the Village. The check in process at Big Bear Vacations was quick and simple...We will definitely be back!

We loved our stay and had perfect views of the fireworks. One of the problems we had was that the bunk beds didn't have the railing on the top, so none of our kids (3 five year olds and one 7 year old) could sleep up there. The downstairs room was accessible only through the garage which would be fine if you didn't have to go up and down the front stair cases. We never even used the room because we didn't want the kids to be in there alone. Also, we were not to touch the temperature on the frig and some of our food went bad because of it. Don't get me wrong, we had a fantastic time. The parents actually got to relax while the children kept each other occupied all day. We would definitely love to stay in this place again, but for a cheaper price because we wouldn't want to use the downstairs room.
