WARNING : For safety and quietness reasons, Domaine de Maran is not suitable for children.

Domaine de Maran is located in the heart of the Cathar country, just 4 km from the Canal du Midi and the tremendous medieval walled Cité de Carcassonne, close to a golf course. This estate offers the self catering apartment "Garance" (2 adults maximum) with a private terrace in a quiet and elegant family mansion dating from the beginning of the XIXth century and surrounded by a two ha park with swimming-pool, rose garden, walkways…...calm and quietness guaranteed.

You can book the stylish self catering apartment «Garance» which has a door opening directly on to the park. It is fully equipped for 2 adults to stay 3 nights minimum at 125 euros per night.

If you are 3 or 4 adults you can book the cottage "Le Galamp" in the outbuildings of Domaine de Maran.

We are located between the Pyrenees Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, in the heart of the Languedoc area, famous for its cultural heritage and wine-growing.

The Canal du Midi and the Cité de Carcassonne (the tremendous medieval gallo-roman walled city built on a rocky spur), both included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997, are just 4 km away.

The famous Abbeys of Fontfroide, Lagrasse and Saint Hilaire are close to the estate.The vineyards of the Corbieres and Minervois dominate the area, while highlighting the famous Cathar castles.

Domaine de Maran is an ancient family wine estate.The main building was rebuilt at the beginning of the XIXth century on a site inhabited since the XIIIth century.The estate offers a self catering apartment . You arrive through a two hectare park, where you can hear the song of the cicadas sheltered in the hundred-year-old Mediterranean trees while the walkways, swimming-pool, ornamental lake and rose garden will catch your eyes...

Golfers will be happy to know that our 40 hectares estate adjoins the magnificient 18 holes golf course of Carcassonne.

Gourmets will appreciate seven Michelin-stared restaurants (1 and 2 stars) nearby and one 3 stars restaurant within easy driving distance.
