We have stayed on this property 3 times renting 2 of the 3 cottages. Both were excellent but we love this smaller cottage best because of it's privacy, spectacular view of the harbor, and size being just perfect for us and our shelties. Not many rentals accept dogs, even well behaved ones! A charming beach is right down the hill or a quick ride brings you to Wasque and other beaches for on-sand driving and recreation. The kayaks are great for a waterside view, exploring the harbor area plus is excellent exersize. Walking distance to the On-time Ferry makes it easy to get to Edgartown for shopping and restaurants.
The larger cottage and house do have more amenities for those who prefer. However, there is something about showering while looking up at trees and sky that appeals! It's only a couple steps to the door and the tub does have a handheld shower head. Wireless is available so what more could you need?
The folks at Sandcastle Realty have always been great and we look forward to returning for 2 weeks next year! -

We enjoyed our stay, the house was small but did allow dogs which is what we were looking for. It had a great view and it was nice to be able to walk to the beach. The ferry into town was very close and we enjoyed the quiet of the island.
A few issues though, the house could have been cleaner and there were quite a few ants around the kitchen. I realize they are hard to control but there probably should have been a few ant baits around. We also had to shower outside, we didn't realize that there was no inside shower only a hose attached to the tub that was broken. The price was right though and we are pretty used to roughing it.
The people at Sandcastle have always been great to work with. They are always professional and make the rental process easy. They will always get back to you if you have questions. The website is easy to use. We have used Sandcastle before and when we vacation on the island we will use them again. Great job!!Response from Sandcastle Vacation Homes - 01/11/2010
