Furnished to a high standard and decorated well throughout, this compact, contemporary open-plan living area has everything today’s holidaymaker could possibly need for a well-earned break. A mere four miles from the town of Launceston, the charming village of Egloskerry is home to this charming, single storey lodge. With just the one double bedroom, this little cottage makes the ideal spot for a romantic getaway. Fronting a minor country road, the lodge is well positioned for local amenities and with so many walking and cycling opportunities nearby visitors don't have to look far beyond the front door for something to do. This is a gr...eat, well-appointed property which would make a good base whilst exploring all that Cornwall has to offer.

This is a great location for anyone seeking the solitude of the countryside as the whole area is packed with walks down winding woodland lanes and lush wooded valleys. The Roadford reservoir offers great fishing, sailing and water sport opportunities whilst nearby, Tamar Otter Park and the golf course increase the range of entertainment on offer. The town of Launceston is not only host to shops, pubs and restaurants but it also boasts a ruined Norman castle and a great steam railway. All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  My husband and I had a wonderful week away staying at palmers lodge in Cornwall last November. The lodge was easy to find, very clean, modern and comfortable. We had a very warm welcome with fresh flowers, a cream tea a few basic provisions. The owners live adjacent to the lodge, but never interfered , we arrived home one evening to find all the electrical power had gone, and we were met by the lady of the house, holding a torch to make sure we got in ok in the dark, and she found plenty of candles to get by with, we were touched by her thoughtfulness, we were told of future plans to improve the lodge and they sound fantastic, I am sure they will be done to the same high standard as the rest of the lodge, it was a real pleasure to stay there

  The accomodation was really clean and comfortable and well located for getting to parts of Cornwall's north coast.
  
  However, there is nothing within walking distance of the cottage and it is right on the road - a 60mph road! This is quite disturbing as vehicles fly past.

  Fantastic owners, always on hand if needed. Exceptionally clean, well cared for and very stylish decor, everything we needed and more! Very well equipped kitchen (even tubberware/kitchen foil so you can take your lunch out with you) with fab goodies on arrival. Far away enough from everything for a relaxing break, but close enough to get to see most of the sights of Cornwall. Superb recommendations from the owner for places to eat/drink (Eliot arms is a must!) Couldn't rate higher! Would recommend to all and would love to return! *Also visitor book in lodge with equally high reviews*

  Great location for exploring North Cornwall. Tintagel Castle & Padstow are great day trips. Shops & pubs within 5 minute drive - The Countryman Inn is great for food & drink. Excellent, modern facilities in the cottage and welcoming owner. Would recommend to friends and would go back in future. Overall 5 stars!
