Description

Fairbank House is available at several price points for a quintessential country house experience, offering three bedrooms, one with a very large bed (or split super king singles) with ensuite, queen with ensuite, and another queen with full bath. There's quality Posturpedic mattresses, Sheridan Egyptian cotton, European down quilts and 'Pure' toiletries. Enjoy ducted climate control, open fire, free wifi and steaming services, and extensive indoor and outdoor entertaining areas. Fairbank is secure for animals and children, and can accommodate people with impairments. There's a fully equipped kitchen and an original 1867 dining room to experience. Al fresco barbeque lunches can be enjoyed on the belvedere adjacent the lounge, and sundowners on the front verandah watching the sun set on Mount Alexander.

If you like town or country exploring, choose either the fascinating assortment of shops just 400m away, and the Parks Victoria Gold Trail that joins up the goldfield relics. Go for a ride on sthe steam train across the road. Enjoy the cafes and pubs of Maldon, the large number of artists and musicians that live and work locally, and the wineries, breweries and markets. You can climb Mount Tarrengower or the Nuggetys from Fairbank, or have a swim in Lake Cairn Curran to the south of the mount. Maldon's an hour and a half up the freeway from Melbourne's Tullamarine airport and central to a wide range of attractions. Come and find the centre of Victoria's Goldfields and enjoy your country house comforts on your return.
