Tiara Sands is located ooright on the beach in a quite area just north of Marina El Cid and
the historic tourist area known as the Golden Zone. It is on the southern end of a long sandy beach in an area known as Nuevo Mazatlan. There is excellant bus and taxi service and all of Mazatlan is readily accessible.

When you enter this condo on the fifth floor, you are struck by the spaciousness and bright, cheery colours. Being a prairie person, the loud, unceasing waves was a welcome change. The balcony can be accessed from the master bedroom, the living room, or the second bedroom and is very spacious. At this time of year, it did not get any sun so we did not spend much time there. The breakfast nook outside the door is a tranquil spot with a great view for morning coffee. The condo is fully loaded and we missed nothing. The kitchen is gorgeous.
The location on quiet Cerritos beach is fabulous as it is at the beginning of the strip, and it is less then a five minute walk to the El Cid Marina. There you can catch a 30 second little pontoon boat that runs from 0800-1600 to enter the Golden Zone. How convenient is that! No cost, tips welcome.
The restaurant across the street, the Seafarer, was our favorite restaurant in Mazatlan with amazing food, service, music, and ambiance. Sadly, no customers as it is hidden gem and very classy. We also walked the 4 km. down the beach to La Bruja Mexican Restaurant which was always great fun with great food and 2:1 drinks. Watched a surfing competition one Sunday there from our table with ocean view.
There are vendors for shrimp, fruit and vegetables that come on a schedule, and that is posted on the bulletin boards at the condo.
The contact, Lee, is charming and helpful. For example our coffee maker broke down and we swiftly were left with a replacement at our doorstep. Go for a country tour with him also to see the marvelous Mexican historical towns of Copola and Concordia- very reasonable and very entertaining day.
The people in the condo are very friendly. There is aquasizes in the pool three times a week with between 8-21 ladies attending from the area. We used the large hot tub daily and it is so well maintained. The pool is always in the shade which we liked and great for lap swimming.
The beach is absolutely gorgeous and great to walk on. The waves are ferocious and cool so did not go swimming until I went to Stone Island on the 25 peso return boat.
Must do's:

Buy a beer for less then 3 dollars at the Best Western Hotel Freeman, where the whole 9th floor is an open balcony and pool-romantic and amazing views. The four friendly staff work so hard and greet you warmly. It is a safe and secured environment. -

We had a wonderful time in your condo in Mazatlan. It was perfect for us and it had everything we needed. The location is probably the best in Mazatlan . We will return here any time we can.

We have been there twice, in spring break 2009 and 2010. The apartments are amazing, fully equipped, clean and comfortable.
Everything was working properly, so we were able to cook some nice meals, watch some movies, rest and enjoy our time there.
I went there with my family and my cousins and we had a great time. The pool is great, the view of the beach and amazing sunsets.
There is security 24hrs so its also very safe.
You will definitely have a great time here!

This condo had everything we needed and more. The beds were extremely comfortable and having our own washer and dryer made things so easy, our next stay we will bring far less clothing.
It was located on a long stretch of beach which was great to walk on.
The other people in the building were super friendly and made us feel like part of the family.
Getting to restaurants was easy as well as shopping.
A local vendor would come to the front door of the complex each week with fresh vegetables, fruit, shrimp and baked goods.
Dealing with the owner was easy!!
